If you still hold the fire button while doing another action that requires holding the attack button, like using the hookshot or throwing a beach ball, the gun will still fire until it reaches its 'cooldown'. - still trying to figure out this.
If you go for a homing attack on an enemy, you can still shoot the gun and hit the enemy if at the right angle / frame. - Might keep this in if possible as a "lock on" for close range attacks.
on some mod levels, you can still fire the gun in cutscenes or in other sections that requires more input. In the official game, this is not an issue on what I've tested myself.
