   i know i'm stupid but after putting the files in folder i still get xbox buttons..... please save me lol

      You need to patch the game with this ( https://www.nexusmods.com/aewfightforever/mods/1 ), otherwise it won't be able to "read" mods. Keep in mind that the game will not launch anymore after patching if EAC is enabled.
