Ace Combat 7: Skies Untold is an alternate timeline and complete reimagining of the story and canon of Ace Combat 7. The contents of this mod conflict extremely with canon. If
you do not read the work-in-progress document, you might be very confused.
The story of Galm Team is a story inextricably linked to the Belkan War as a whole. Many claim to have flown alongside a pair of F-15s with blue and red markings. Few, if any, have the proof to back it up. There is more evidence that points to Galm being a relatively ordinary pair of mercenaries surrounded by a myth created by annoyed Belkan officers to torment the enlisted personnel underneath them than there is evidence that points to them being the legendary warriors of the sky that many in popular culture claim.
The two pilots of Galm, a man known only as 'Cipher', and Larry 'Pixy' Foulke, were born in Ustio under Belkan rule and neither had much love for the regime that had orphaned them in a no-knock secret police purge of Ustian nationalists. The two pilots were not brothers by birth but would become brothers on the streets of Directus, and the two had to raise Cipher's younger sister until an orphanage stepped in. Cipher
and Larry joined the Belkan Air Force with plans to defect to Osea not long after. Sneaking out of their base, the duo drove towards the heavily militarized Belkan-Osean border, only barely making it across before declaring their intentions of diplomatic asylum to a roaming Osean patrol. Cipher joined the OADF under a fake name to protect his sister and would later serve with Patrick 'Wiseman' Harmon in the 43rd Tactical Fighter Squadron, 'Warlock'. Foulke joined the OMDF and found himself under the wing of Joshua 'Lucan' Bristow as a member of Wizard Squadron, where he would lose a wing on his F/A-18D Hornet in a training accident before successfully landing it on the OFS Gyrfalcon, earning him the nickname 'Solo Wing Pixy'.
Founded in 1993 by the pair of Ustian-Belkan defectors to the Osean Defense Forces, Galm Security LLC, or GALMSEC, had only two pilots and three employees. Pixy and Cipher were joined by Foulke's mechanic friend from the OMDF, Jacob 'B.O.B.' Mead, and the trio would liberate a pair of F-15As from an Osean boneyard for next to nothing, and incorporated their company on January 7th, 1993 in the northern Osean city of Guinevere, on the border with Belka. In 1994, they would repaint their fighters to look like the more modern F-15C, as a measure to appear more professional for their clients. After a drought of clients forced the company into near-bankruptcy, the Belkan War broke out, and Pixy and Cipher would rush to sign onto Ustio's mercenary pilot payroll.
As for the rest?
Well, the rest is history. Or is it? None truly know the ultimate fate of these two mercenaries. Many claim to. After the war, both disappeared, Cipher without a trace and with Larry Foulke having been declared dead on June 7th, 1995 in a small Belkan town's hospital of acute radiation poisoning after the Seven Pillars the day before. Others claim that Pixy joined and led an anarchist insurrection and had a final showdown with his best friend over Avalon Dam on December 31, 1995. In reality, we will never know what happened.
