Ace Combat 7: Skies Untold is an alternate timeline and complete reimagining of the story and canon of Ace Combat 7. The contents of this mod conflict extremely with canon. If you do not read the work-in-progress document, you might be very confused.

CONTENTS: A LOT. Again.
This was supposed to be a mini-pack for the 25th anniversary of Ace Combat. Whoops. I got a little carried away. Then I asked a friend if he wanted to collaborate, and whaddya know, we made a "mini" pack of 9 skins, with plans for more like this in the future.

Enjoy.

Beginning as the OMDF's 31st Fighter Squadron (VF-31) in 1945, Mage Squadron was one of three OMDF squadrons known collectively as the "Three Magicians of the Seas": VF-31 Mage, VF-32 Sorcerer, and VF-33 Wizard. Renowned for their skill, the Three Magician squadrons would become legendary for producing ace pilots, but like all good things, this renaissance for the three squadrons would not last. With the Osean Congress' passing of the Defense Reorganization Act of 1991, VF-32 and VF-33, alongside VF-89 Wardog were several of many OMDF squadrons transferred to the OADF, where they would stay even up to the modern day. The DRA also resulted in the disbanding of VF-31, whose spirit and identity was immediately taken up by the former VF-508 Stingray after Mage's commanding officer, Captain Nathan Hirayama, was transferred to the squadron. VF-508 became VFA-508 not long after in 1998 when they were transferred to F/A-18Cs, a slap in the face to the dedicated Tomcat pilots of the squadron.

By 2019, Mage Squadron is the last of the Three Magicians to remain with the OMDF, and with their ship, the OFS Albatross being one of the select few Osean carriers to survive the outbreak of the Lighthouse War, VFA-508 was thrust into the spotlight— in no small part thanks to one of its pilots, a hotshot Super Hornet driver with the callsign "Trigger". Mage and its related unit VFC-124 Strider, formed midway through the war out of the remaining pilots of Mage and a few other OMDF squadrons, were instrumental in the Osean/IUN-Coalition victory in the Lighthouse War, and the skill of the squadron would be commemorated on the nose of its postwar commander's F-35C.
