Could you make a mod that segments the F-16 Real Weapons further? I would like to see a mod with the option to select the individual weapons. For example, if I wanted just the GUN or GPB changes to apply to the aircraft and not the MSL. If possible, also, having a mod that changes the GUN or MGP (In the case of the MiG-21) on European aircraft (ie the one that normally has 800 Rounds) to 3,500RPM or something similar would be very appealing to me, should it be possible for you to do it. P.S. being able to use 30 FLR without having only 2 MSL and SPW would be awesome as well.
That surely I can do and will consider applying to all future semi-realistic mods. But doing this will significantly increase the file numbers, and I do want to keep it user-friendly. I will upload a new version with flare change bound to the airframe stats file instead of the weapon file first, but the individual weapon selection idea will have to wait. European aircraft guns will get their changes in the future when I start modding more planes after I finish the video series :)
Am I crazy, or does this mod make the F-16 worse than it already is? I've always been annoyed that the game portrays the F-16 as a sad sack in comparison to other airframes, so I was hoping for an upgrade. Am I reading this wrong?
Oh hey, is the F-16 patch you did on that video showcase of the IUN missions, my friend did shared it and i watched, interesting video indeed, i think is by far one of the few examples of an "AC nuzlocke", considering i had some sorta similar ideas(i.e. GPB only F-117A or bombs only YRB-89)
You mentioned also you had plans for Spare and Strider missions, so is expected they may turn into future releases(even that i tend to follow the aspect the F-16 is carried though Spare until Transfer Orders, and F-15C being it until Farbanti seeing it'd make sense seeing the antecipation of Farbanti and Cape Rainy acquisition, but yeah, feel free to you do you, as i agree Spare missions would be a very PITA with the real-esque F-16C, the enemy missile tweaks and AC7's default mission structure)
Also taking the opportunity to say in case, you previously posted at Twitter a WIP of Hellrot's Su-43 model for being ported to AC7, unsure how the progression of it went as 3DCG focused can in fact be tricky to rearrange the UV layout for something more "game friendly", if you wouldn't mind, i could get the permission for working on the Su-43 too? of course won't be something for now, neither i would be using Hellrot's model, as i got plans at follow my own way at kitbashing, seeing i did an example model before to help a friend of mine before, and i'm probably thinking on revising it for a possible future release, but yeah, it won't be a thing i'll be releasing too soon seeing my life in general is very busy with errands. but decided to ask in question of respect before giving the wrong impression of "being a douche" for releasing something related without contacting first
Glad you liked it! Yes there will be F-15 and F-22 mods later. And yes about the Su-43 project, Megalith and I worked on it together about 1.5 years ago, and yeah we tried to do some re-UV and had some progress with it. Unfortunately we both got busy with school/work/life and this project has been paused since then. But yeah we can bring the discussion to discord with Megalith see what we can work out a solution, my discord user name is asuka_hibiki.
