Version history:
1.0 - Initial release.
1.1 - Fixed botched MREC imports in slots 1, 2, 3 that resulted in bright glowing aircraft during landing in Mission 7 and Aerial Refuelling in Mission 14.
Also added an optional retexture of the Japanese QAAM (AAM5) to make most of the missiles body length blue, as per some photos.
This texture pack adds a host of options for the F-15J, representing aircraft 92-8908 of the JASDF Hiko Kyodotai Aggressor Squadron.
This aircraft, along with the blue painted F-15DJ 82-8063 (which AC7's Special colour is directly modelled on) has partially inspired the likes of Cipher's F-15C in Ace Combat Zero.
Please note - If you wish to use the Campaign Pack textures for slots 4, 5 and 6, it is *highly* recommended to also install one of the pak files for either the JASDF or No Markings variants into slot 1.
ie, to install as a collection :
F-15J JASDF Green Aggr Skin 1_P.pak, F-15J Green Aggr Mage Skin 4_P.pak, F-15J Green Aggr Spare Skin 5_P.pak, F-15J Green Aggr Strider Skin 6_P.pak
or
F-15J Green Aggr Skin 1_P.pak, F-15J Green Aggr Mage Skin 4_P.pak, F-15J Green Aggr Spare Skin 5_P.pak, F-15J Green Aggr Strider Skin 6_P.pak
This is in order to maximise MREC Accuracy, as Mage, Spare and Strider all use the same MREC texture as Osea.
If you replace just skins 4, 5, 6, without also replacing skin 1, you may see minor visual errors on those aircraft.
Likewise, if you decide to replace just skin 1, whatever skins you have installed into slots 4, 5, 6 may subsequently show minor errors.
Hopefully in the future, when the process of using instance files to allow ALL texture slots to use a unqiue MREC, becomes more automated, this archive can be updated in a far more streamlined manner.
For now, my compromise to offer you more flexibilty in what you want to use, or not, is to provide a large variety of pak files.
All of these pak files use the "_P" suffix as a precaution. Although it is not currently required for this to be part of the file name as of September 2019, if Project Aces update the base F-15J external textures in a future DLC or update, the "_P" will become required.
Future proofing!
The archive contains 15 pak files.
3 .pak files that will install a full JASDF set of markings, including 92-8908 number, for Texture slots 1, 2 or 3.
3 .pak files that will install a completely clean version, primarily for multiplayer and using the in-game emblem customisation, for Texture slots 1, 2 or 3.
3 .pak files that will replace the Mage, Spare or Strider textures with campaign friendly versions with the correct Osean markings in their respective slots of 4, 5, or 6 (it is recommended to use these in conjunction with either a JASDF or Clean version .pak file in slot 1).
6 .pak files that will allow the Mage, Spare or Strider textures to be installed seperately into texture slots 2 or 3, and so able to use the custom MREC without replacing either slot 1 or the default Mage, Spare or Strider textures in slots 4, 5 or 6.
Installation:
1. Navigate to the Ace Combat 7 installation directory and go to Game\Content\Paks\~mods
(If the "~mods" folder does not exist, create it.)
2. Paste the desired .pak file(s) into the "~mods" folder.
3. Launch the game and select the skin that the installed .pak has replaced.
