I'm having some trouble with the mod. The pilot doesn't seem to be appearing in the plane, leaving a blank seat. I have a bunch of skin/livery mods and a few model swaps for a few planes, maybe that's the problem? I put the mod at the top of the load order and have no other pilot swaps, so I don't know how to fix it.
From what you're describing, it looks like it should work, there's nothing the mod can conflict with; The only place where the pilot might not appear is the aircraft viewer, and everywhere else it should be visible, I genuinely don't know what can be causing this
You're correct on the aircraft viewer. It's working fine on missions and after you select the special weapon in the pre-mission hanger. I apologize for not testing it further before making my comment.
