The F/A-15J Super Eagle is a heavily modified Eagle that was outfitted with experimental weaponry in the early years of the 2000s. However, it also sported a new twin-jet engine setup with the EEJ-09 hybrid engines. while also getting new sensors, systems, and avionics. At the same time as the Super Eagles were being tested, another aircraft called the E/A-15J Screamer and the A-15 Swan were also being tested.
