Attention! I've changed the release structure. The main UE4SS bundle contains now again the dwmapi.dll as UE4SS loader, which works for the game itself on Steam and Xbox Games version.
People who wants to install UE4SS on a dedicated server, have to download the version.dll loader and replace the dwmapi.dll with it. All instructions were updated in the Description tab of the mod.
First off let me say i use the gamepass version, i installed the mod and all however the Win64 folder is INSTEAD WinGDK, so because of this the mods are not working, i tried renaming it to Win64 along with the exe file but it just didn't open the game anymore, what doi do? and i do have my games located in their own folder instead of windowsapps, i downloaded them through the xbox app.
You don't need to rename anything for the game pass release.... you just drag and drop into the wingdk folder.. the win64 setup is only if you are playing on steam...
All mods that are pre-installed are default UE4SS mods that have the potential to work with any Unreal Engine game. Ask on official UE4SS discord server how to use them, but just because they are there, doesn't mean that they will work for the game. In case of Abiotic Factor, I highly doubt that the Split Screen mod does anything useful.
Question: Where do I find the saved folder to delete the crash dump? In the description it said its under "C:\Users\(your windows username here)\AppData\Local\AbioticFactor\Saved\", but I have it saved in an external hard drive, there is not a "saved" folder.
For me its like this: "D:\Steam\steamapps\common\AbioticFactor\AbioticFactor\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss". Maybe there is no longer a "saved" folder? I've look into the other folders and can't find any. The game never really crash for me, like I have recieved the "Crash message" but it is when I exit to main menu from the game (so far 4 times in over 120 hours), and my game saved and play just fine.
Just because your game is installed in a different drive doesn't make the actual save folder move, it'll normally always be in the default location. You'll find your save folder and your crash folders and such for abiotic at the location that is mentioned in the description page.
I am trying to make this work on linux under Wine in a docker container, followed the installation instructions, used version.dll, added the environment variable to use version.dll instead of dwmapi.dll, and I see this in the log, UE4SS does not load:

Unfortunately I have been unable to get this to work under wine/proton - no log files are created and none of the keybinds work. Any input on how to solve this would be appreciated.
Can i get some assistance on why it just says "command not recognized" everytime i type something in the chat box, is there a specific format i need to use that i dont know of ?
It works just fine with the dwmapi.dll (version.dll won't work for the gamepass version at all only the dwmapi.dll will) as I am using it with various ue4ss mods just fine on game pass, I would suggest you look into the log file created by ue4ss to figure out what the cause is on you not being able to get it to work.
Would be the same with you @Taragonra, make sure you either put the mods in the mods.txt file with a "1" after to activate them or put a blank "enabled.txt" file into the ue4ss mods you want to enable.
I was able to get it working, part of it was my fault. I was trying to trigger the console as my verification method, but it doesn't seem to work in the main menu. Gotta load in to the game and it works fine.
Well, I thought I installed this right. The game loads fine, but none of the mods are working. How do I share my files so we can figure out what I did wrong? Using Xbox gamepass on PC
make sure you either put the mods name in the mods.txt file with a "1" after to activate them (there are other mods in the mods.txt file so just follow their examples) or put a blank "enabled.txt" file into the ue4ss mods you want to enable.
Looks like I made a mistake and zipped the whole folder instead only the files inside. Delete UE4SS_v3.0.1-447-gbc66bb1_Abiotic-Factor_v1.17.2, download latest release and read updated instructions on the main page.
Your mods are working fine now! However it doesn't seem like the one mod I downloaded that isnt ue4ss is working. Are all other mods incompatible with this set up or do I need to pit them somewhere else?

At some state I managed to get a crash but I can't replicate that yet.
