Love your instant fishing mod, it's great. Having a little trouble with this one though. The mod is installed on my dedicated server (and locally), I hit F5 and the message pops up that it is enabled, but item duplication isn't working. It does work locally though.
Platform: Steam I think, hosted on Bisect. Version: v1.1.4 Log: Log File
Update: I found a workaround in using the hacker. Keybind still doesn't actually work, but items dup with the hacker equipped after turning that setting back on.
The keybind can't work on dedicated server, I have no way to communicate from client to the server. If you install the mod in your game and use the hotkey, it will just toggle the local mod, which has no effect on the server. That's why the Keypad Hacker feature exists. It allows using the mod on dedicated servers, and it allows all players to use it, if the server/host has it installed.
Strange but doesn't seem to be working at the moment? Have verified I installed it in the correct folder and double checked my UE4SS install. The F5 toggle works and tells me the mod is enabled/disabled when I press it, but items just don't duplicate when I move them between inventory slots.
Please read the "Bug/Issue Reports" section in mod's Description tab, that I just added here as well and provide the ue4ss.log file. All my mods are tested with latest update, which was a month ago. If something doesn't work, it's usually an issue with the installation of UE4SS or the mod.
Wait what? How does it show others that it's enabled? If you're the host and want prevent others from cheating, just use Stack Manager mod to duplicate you items. However, I would like to know what do you mean that it show others. It shouldn't happen.
I have the mod, if I press F5 to enable it other players see the "Duplication Enabled" message on their screen. I wanted to keep it quiet so I could dupe ammo and have more fun without being moaned at! :D
Interesting, so you're the host and all see the green message at the top of the screen "Duplicate Items Enabled"? I didn't know others can see it. It should be client only. I'm unsure, since I play the game alone and nobody told me before that it was the case. Maybe they changed it by now. I'll have to investigate.
My guess as well. Like I said, you can use the Stack Manager, which can do basically the same. Or use the Keypad Hacker feature. But if you let the Keypad Hacker enabled, your friends might figure it out as well.
I just tested with a friend. The text on top of the screen isn't visible to others. Your friends probably just saw that their items would duplicate when they moved them around, since when you enable it as host, it affects all players.
My friend definitely saw the message on screen. He read it out the second i enabled it. Is it possible he has the mod installed too without me knowning and sees the message that way?
The message should be only shown to a specific player. So I'm unsure how it could happen. Unless the mod somehow found him as first player and displayed the message to him instead of you. This is the only explanation I have. What usually shouldn't happen.
Works fine as local host, but can't get it to do anything on a dedicated server. Log on the server shows the mod loading:
[Lua] [DuplicateItems v1.1.2] Starting mod initialization [RegisterHook] Registered native hook (3, 4) for Function /Script/Engine.PlayerController:ClientRestart [Lua] [DuplicateItems v1.1.2] Mod loaded successfully
Log on the client shows:
[Lua] [DuplicateItems v1.1.2] Starting mod initialization [RegisterHook] Registered native hook (3, 4) for Function /Script/Engine.PlayerController:ClientRestart [RegisterHook] Registered script hook (5, 5) for Function /Game/Blueprints/Characters/Abiotic_PlayerCharacter.Abiotic_PlayerCharacter_C:Server_TrySwapItems [Lua] [DuplicateItems v1.1.2] Mod loaded successfully
Have tried it with DebugMode set to true and false on client side, no difference. Anything to try?
To be honest, no idea. The mod doesn't detect your Dedicated Server as that and also can't find the function to hook at the start. Send me the latest UE4SS.log from the Dedicated Server, maybe I can see something there.
I was thinking about it. I'm currently unsure what would be the best approach, since obviously you can't use hotkeys on server. I've to find a way to communicate from mod running on client with the mod running on the server.
Heads up: As of the new Halloween update, this mod no longer seems to work. It still shows the tool tip/info for when you hit a hot key, but it no longer duplicates.

would you fix this mod?

Stack Manager works great btw, thank you :)
