Tested and does not work for Alpha 20.

  It absolutely does NOT work today. Just came here to check same question you asked, and see yours... lol.
  
  Breaks the crap out of the GUI, and floods the error logs constantly.

  Yep, that would be due to several game updates since the mod version you were using. It has been updated for Alpha 16.4, and I should have the time now to keep it updated for the forseeable future!
