That exists on 1.0! You just might have to join Guppy's discord and look at Alter's channel. And you're going to have to run with EAC "off" but cheers and happy gaming!
The problem is that there are only 12 cassettes, right? So there can't be more than 12 tracks in mod. Could you make a mod without binding to cassettes?
I'm sorry that it's a conflict for you! If I get a break from modding our overhaul, BlewBarry Farms, then I can try to take a look but I am not familiar with that UI mod at all!
I found a solution! The mod loading order is relevant in this case. I renamed the "Walkman" mod folder "zzzWalkman", effectively loading it last and the error was gone!
Great mod, thanks! Just a few bugs: sometimes the sound track restarts before the song finishes, and you end up with the song superimposed on top of it, or another track starts if you have several cassettes with you. When you get into a vehicle, the sound is suddenly very low and has a slow-motion effect, especially if you use the vehicle's turbo mode. And is there any way of changing the name of the cassettes rather than having ‘cassette tape 1’ for example. I've changed the tracks by others that I prefer but I'd like to have the name of the artist and the song on the title of the cassette. If I change it in the sound.xml file, the track doesn't start.
That's some good feedback and we'll look into it! The audio is playing from the player so when your camera is back in a vehicle, it's going to reduce the volume and that's part of the vanilla game mechanics for an audio playing "where the player is" - Same thing with the slow-motion effect when you're going faster than the game can keep up with the audio etc. But yeah, some of the tracks might start before the old one finishes and that's sloppy QA on our part. I've been meaning to let all of the tracks play through to see which ones are off, but I haven't had time. If you beat me to it, tell me the numbers that start too early and I'll be quicker to fix it - thanks!
Thanks for your reply! I'm sorry, this is actually bad feedback on my part, because the mod with your original songs works perfectly without a problem, so the quality control was good ^^. The problem only occurs with the song tracks that I change, if the track exceeds 2m40, the next one starts automatically if I have another cassette in the inventory, or restarts if I only have that one. I saw that your tracks were in ogg format, I tried with mine converted to the same format but the problem persists. In the end, it's not that important, I still enjoy playing with the mod. On the other hand, I find the drop rate of the Walkman to be extremely high compared to cassettes. In 4 hours of play, I've got about fifteen Walkmans to repair, but only one cassette, or I'm a very unlucky girl lol. I noticed this error line in the logs ‘WRN XML patch for “entityclasses.xml” from mod “Walkman” did not apply: <append xpath=’entityclasses/entity_class[@name=‘playerMale’]/effect_group‘ (line 3 at pos 3)’, but it doesn't block anything or prevent the mod from working. Sorry again for the bad feedback, it's a great mod :)
Oh! if you change the songs yourself then you have to go into the buffs.xml and change the DURATION of each music track buff to match how long your new ones are!

You can replace/add your own music, but it is more complicated than simply dragging an mp4 into the /Mods/Walkman folder somewhere. You have to download Unity software (it's free), watch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KOf3P5y19Bw, make your file, and then either name the assets the same as what they are already called in the Sounds.xml file of the Walkman /Config folder (and put the new Unity files into the /Resources folder) or else further edit the Sounds.xml file of the Walkman /Config folder. It's annoying but this is required for EAC on games since the other mod music players require EAC off.
