I really miss this mod in 19, my basses are just barren without it.
Edit: Went back for another try, worked on some items - no idea what my issue was the first time 'round. New items and items that have become containers (barrels) are not pick-upable, some other (wood) items pickup a "Woodfurnitureblockvarianthelper" and vanish when picked up.
Edit: If you open up the Config/blocks.xml in the modlet, and find/replace "woodFurnitureVariantHelper" with "cntWoodFurnitureVariantHelper", the block you pick up will stop disappearing. Unfortunately, id does not become the item you picked up when you put it back down.
I did what you wrote and replaced all the '"woodFurnitureVariantHelper" with "cntWoodFurnitureVariantHelper"' found in the file 'block.xml. This corrects the addressing of the item, but unfortunately this does not solve the problem and the recovered objects continue to disappear ... An idea on how to make it work again on wooden objects ... for the rest no worries for the moment. Hope you or anyone got a solution.
You would have to use the R key to open the radial menu so you can select the option that allows you to choose the item.
A person could make it so that the item placed is the same as the item picked up. In the blocks.xml file you would want to remove the param1="cntWoodFurnitureVariantHelper" so it would just say <property name="CanPickup" value="true"/> in the CanPickup property whatever is in the param1="Block/Item" is what it will be in your inventory.
Loving this mod! Thank you so much! Is there any way to 'lock' in an item once I've placed it? I keep accidently picking up the table under my campfire, and it falls, and destroys everything in it - beakers, food, etc. I've moved my campfire to something else, but it would still be neat to 'lock' them in place.
Cool, didn't see that. Any way you can make it so you need to Hold E to pick things up? I keep accidentally stealing couches and cabinets while looting.
Also, I tried to get your modlet to work with the lanterns and flashlights that are strewn about, but no luck. Is there any way you can make those pick-up-able?
added a new file that makes all the lights other than the players lights able to be pickedup. Those lights become player variants and for the most part require power to hook up.
