Can you tell me what is Quality and what is Tier? Will these two values be displayed in the game? I've used a MOD(EpicSpire's Quality ModSlot Boost) with 1 Tier 1 ModSlot 2 Tier 2 ModSlots, but I can't understand the logic of this mod.
Would love to see a randomization of all tiers and qualities with number of mods. So a Quality 1 Tier 1 could get 6 mods but would be rare. This would make it much more interesting to look at drops you might already have an increase the value of Tier 3 Quality 6 items with more mod slots.
for some reason it does not seem to work completely. A quality 6 nail gun only has 5 slots instead of my intended 6 (since it is a T3 tool). and the quality 1 version still has zero mod slots. I don't even think the n ail gun has multiple qualities. the xml code for the nail gun says:
<passive_effect name="ModSlots" operation="base_set" value="0"/> and all other T3 tools say
so the nailgun is basically screwed unless i change the crafting to allow multiple qualities which is essentially pointless for repair tools anyways since using them for their intended purpose uses no stamina nor durability. The quality wouldn't affect speed or resource use.
oh ... i just realised i'm using your mod for Alpha 20 ... which is working fine for all the items , except nailgun . i'll check it out . thank you very much.

Tier is the level 9f the tech. So stone axe is 0, pipe weapons are 0,
Iron tools, is Tier 1
Steel tools are Tier 2
And motor tools are 3
When you unlock the recipe it usually tells you the Tier you just unlocked.
Armor is cloth/scrap =1, leather/iron = 2, military/steel =3
<passive_effect name="ModSlots" operation="base_set" value="0"/>
and all other T3 tools say
<passive_effect name="ModSlots" operation="base_set" value="4,4,4,4,4,4" tier="1,2,3,4,5,6"/>
so the nailgun is basically screwed unless i change the crafting to allow multiple qualities which is essentially pointless for repair tools anyways since using them for their intended purpose uses no stamina nor durability. The quality wouldn't affect speed or resource use.
