Is this safe to install on a existing save? I downloaded it on a backed-up world and it doesn't seem to conflict with anything- I'm asking just in case
Hi, just for info: I'm got a privat dedicated server and the whenever I start it,the server-log says: WRN [MODS] CraftableDoorsV1.1/ModInfo.xml in legacy format. Please consider upgrading to V2 for future compatibility.
Great mod. I figured out how I could get standard English titles to show up in the crafting menu. Adds a bit of polish to the mod.
In the blocks.xml file for each door type change the Description Key value to match the block name plus concatenate "Desc" on the end. For example:
<block name="craftableDoorsWoodLargeGate"> <!--THIS IS THE BLOCK NAME--> <property name="Extends" value="doorWoodLargeGate"/> <property name="CustomIcon" value="doorWoodLargeGate"/> <property name="CreativeMode" value="Player"/> <property name="DescriptionKey" value="craftableDoorsWoodLargeGateDesc"/> <!--HERE CHANGE THE VALUE TO MATCH BLOCK NAME PLUS ADD 'Desc' TO THE END--> <property name="Group" value="Decor/Miscellaneous"/> <property name="FilterTags" value="MC_playerBlocks"/> <property name="SellableToTrader" value="false"/> </block>
Once that is done you create a Localization.txt file in the same directory as the blocks.xml file. The localization file is a comma separated text file that you can edit easily in a spreadsheet. The first row tells you what sort of data is in the rest of the rows. Like this:
Key,File,Type,UsedInMainMenu,NoTranslate,english,Context / Alternate Text,german,spanish,french,italian,japanese,koreana,polish,brazilian,russian,turkish,schinese,tchinese <!--KEY ROW--> craftableDoorsWoodLargeGate,blocks,Block,,,Palisade Gate,,,,,,,,,,,,,<!--DATA ROW FOR ITEM NAME--> craftableDoorsWoodLargeGateDesc,blocks,Block,,,Lets in your big things but keeps out bad things.,,,,,,,,,,,,,<!--DATA ROW FOR ITEM'S DESCRIPTION-->
So I only put in an English item title and description, but if you save this bit of code and load it up in a spreadsheet it would be easy to add any of the other languages.
I'd be happy to send Mitzee4 my tweaked blocks.xml and Localization.txt if he or she wants use or reference it.
You should make the crafting time more balanced, 2 second crafting is too short, but other than that I like it. Also is there the door that's the kind that slides to the left or right and made of glass like the kind grocery stores have? I can't find it.
The craftableDoorsDoubleWeakMetalDoors block includes the low hp commercial and house sliding doors. The craftableDoorsDoubleBulletproofGlassDoors block includes the higher hp sliding door. As with most of the doors though you gotta damage them a but to get rid of the planks/metal on the model.
I will look into changing the crafting time in the future to be more in line with the vanilla door tiers. In the meantime though you can alter the craft time yourself. Go to the articles section of this mod page and start to follow the guide I put there. It explains how to find the recipes.xml file that is part of this mod. You will notice when looking through this file that there is a property "craft_time="<some value>"". This is the time in seconds that an item will take to craft.
Glad you like the mod and thank you for the feedback.
