you can download my new calibers mod and look through the sounds xml and see how i added them into the game and replaced the guns sound. but to add your own sounds you need to download unity its not too hard but it would take some time to type out.
I dont know if I said this but the cinematic series me and a friend are planning prioritizes realism so I'm highly considering adding this mod to our list of mods to use with how much better this new sound
im sure you noticed the current M60 load sound is actually the same sound it had when first added in A18 but slightly changed to accommodate the new model
