You need to specify a valid icon in vanilla to make it server side. otherwise make a custom icon to install on both client and server. this icon path is non-existent. ``` <property name="CustomIcon" value="BlessedMetalMod"/>```
EDIT: seems to be resolved by changing "BlessedMetalMod" to "modGunMeleeBlessedMetal"
Is this still the case? Will all players need to download the mod? I think server side means only the host needs it but I'm new to this so I'm just checking. Sorry for the silly question.
item_modifiers.xml is throwing errors. Fix for A21: <property name="DropMeshfile" value="#Other/Items?Misc/sack_droppedPrefab.prefab"/> should be <property name="DropMeshfile" value="@:Other/Items/Misc/sack_droppedPrefab.prefab"/>
Interesting, It certainly was a part of "Monster Lore" for decades in literary fiction and on cinema and TV, that having weapons made from "Blessed Metal" usually as swords, spikes, daggers or even crossbow bolts (see Hugh Jackman in Van Helsing -- the movie), and of course as a prized possession of those seeking to kill werewolves as silver bullets which were usually described as also being "blessed". While I can't immediately recall a "zombie-centric" movie using a blessed metal weapon; I can certainly see it as a 'thing' that would be possible. I think in most recent (past 30 years) the movies and cinema have pushed the concept of a zombie outbreak or zombie apocalypse being caused by some science based infection, rooted more in a medical rather than a mystical cause; I can accept the concept of a 'blessed weapon' doing more damage, especially if the supplies of it are Very rare.
I would say it isn't intended for those weapons, but I wouldn't be opposed to adding it to the bows. I haven't worked on the mod in a while but maybe I can look into it. If someone directly requests it, I will attempt to make time for it.
Not working multiplayer via inviting another local player through Steam. Works solo with bother players, but cannot join join each other. What's the fix for this issue? We've tried both having the mod, only one person having the mod (both host side and guest side), both players joining each other on their own worlds, but still doesn't work while joining their world.
I don't see why this mod specifically would have an issue like that. Especially if both parties have it. If anyone else could attest to this claim, I would appreciate that.
You can mod this into any firearm or melee weapon and it increases the damage they do. I can't believe i forgot this existed. It was introduced in the early 7 days to die builds.
To be specific since it maybe isn't clear to everyone what it originally did, it is a weapon mod that adds a 1.5 multiplier to your damage simply put . plus the base amount a mod adds for simply being a mod. not sure how all the math works out exactly but around that should be expected.
The developers originally designed this to maybe be some super rare weapon mod to make damage against undead very effective and was most likely designed for endgame. I removed the undead concept and just made it a standard multiplier, because it allows you to visually see your damage increase, which I prefer.
The only other mod I have seen for this had it restricted to melee weapons, and its also like that in the game's code. I tweaked that to be universal. If there is any weapon/tool type it doesn't work on, lemme know. (I didn't thoroughly test that, I simply made sure it went on a shotgun and that it spawned about as much as it should in treasure)

use this in your items and item_modifiers.xml and itll be server side only :)
<property name="CustomIcon" value="modGunMeleeBlessedMetal"/>
Fix for A21:
<property name="DropMeshfile" value="#Other/Items?Misc/sack_droppedPrefab.prefab"/>
should be
<property name="DropMeshfile" value="@:Other/Items/Misc/sack_droppedPrefab.prefab"/>
Except:
All 3 bows
All crossbows
Rocket Launcher
Otherwise worked on all other weapons.

Think of this mod as immersively restored content
