FYI, this is NOT save safe, all progress in quests AND skill points is reset. Luckily I have a backup...
Otherwise works great after changing club to spear. Clubs suck too much stamina early game
Edit: here is the error...maybe it can be fixed? 2023-09-17T01:57:10 60.821 ERR Loading player data failed for player 'EOS_0002211ac4554029a6799d6a8a7bbc6d', rolling back: Object reference not set to an instance of an object at QuestClass.CreateQuest (System.String ID) [0x00006] in <9df2f7a246fe40bd8df3467c7bde4052>:0 at QuestJournal.Read (System.IO.BinaryReader _br) [0x000cc] in <9df2f7a246fe40bd8df3467c7bde4052>:0 at PlayerDataFile.Read (PooledBinaryReader _br, System.UInt32 _version) [0x00291] in <9df2f7a246fe40bd8df3467c7bde4052>:0 at PlayerDataFile.Load (System.String _dir, System.String _playerName) [0x00085] in <9df2f7a246fe40bd8df3467c7bde4052>:0 2023-09-17T01:57:10 60.825 ERR Loading backup player data failed for player 'EOS_0002211ac4554029a6799d6a8a7bbc6d', rolling back: Object reference not set to an instance of an object at QuestClass.CreateQuest (System.String ID) [0x00006] in <9df2f7a246fe40bd8df3467c7bde4052>:0 at QuestJournal.Read (System.IO.BinaryReader _br) [0x000cc] in <9df2f7a246fe40bd8df3467c7bde4052>:0 at PlayerDataFile.Read (PooledBinaryReader _br, System.UInt32 _version) [0x00291] in <9df2f7a246fe40bd8df3467c7bde4052>:0 at PlayerDataFile.Load (System.String _dir, System.String _playerName) [0x0018a] in <9df2f7a246fe40bd8df3467c7bde4052>:0
Extra clarification: This updated version does not remove or add specific quests to your character. If you had deleted the quick intro quest mod AND added this new one, removing the old one caused the character saves to be erased.
Hello, it is "updated" but is over in the vanilla plus package at the moment? It will be standalone again at some point here, but you can find it in AGF - Vanilla Plus
My mod did that?! Oh my, that is weird. I can say there has been a weird thing going on with traders... Mine has reset before but that was without mods? I will take a look, but I don't believe I'm going to find something, unfortunately.
Hi, just wanted to confirm this is still a thing. It looks like there's an error that pops up the first time you try to introduce the mod on a playthrough where you've already completed the tutorial quest, and it wipes your entire quest log, which I assume is where the game pulls your trader tier from.
Edit: fwiw, still a really nice mod and I appreciate the effort you put into it. Just need to not introduce it to existing saves it seems like.
Edit edit: could also be caused by having quests in your log already rather than having done that one specifically. I can't say for sure which it is.
The most common game breaking scenarios are that it is conflicting with another mod somehow. In general, this mod does work in all versions of A20 standalone.

This is a much more elegant solution to the unnecessary early grind, Thanks!

Do you have any mods that affects quests?
