I would like a version of this mod that doesn't touch vanilla arrow/bolts or add in its own custom bolts. That is the only aspect of the mod preventing me from using this mod as it conflicts with all the other mods I am using. I love this mod tho. :(
It would be very good if there were also craftable x2 x4 sights for bows, as seen in this video. I noticed the Bundle of Steel Crossbow bolts was removed from the recipe list, but not added back in the recipe code. Line 381 if it helps. Was not sure if it was intentional, but the tier 5 Hybrid Cam Compound Crossbow also had 3 mod slots instead of 5. The Compound Crossbow at tier 5 has 5 slots, making it more powerful unless I'm missing another setting. I have another mod messing with tier levels, so not sure if tier 6 is way stronger ( I'm stuck at tier 5 for bows due to another mod). Love the mod just the same!
I will definately look into this and get back to you, it does seem i havent put the steel bundle back in, but to the mod slots, they should be there? but i will look at that too, sorry ive just been very busy :(
It has nothing to do with tying the progression of the bows to the sledgehammers, its to put the craftingbows back in the place of where the original xml information was in the original file, instead of placing at the bottom of the xml, I can look into it not dropping skillbooks though.
Just running testing now, literally just did beginning quests, put 2 points into archery with the points, looted a book pile in the first poi i spawned at, got 2 books. Im curious, are you using other mods with this?
I don't know what is going on but the bow do work in the sense that you can shoot but when you press R or Hold R to reload it bring up the command Window Saying "IndexOutOfRangeException: Index was outside the bounds of the array." also the mod is amazing 🙏😂
Im currently using the ENDZ overhaul mod and I liked this mod. For some reason, it is not showing any resources are there to craft aluminium or carbon fibber... I have tried to move the resources part of the script from the Items XML to the overhaul mod but same outcome...

Yes, it will corrupt save files If you go into a save, craft a item from the mod, then remove the mod and re-enter the same save, its always recommended not to enter a exsiting save while using a mod that wasnt present while creating that particular save.
Can you explain me how the damage of the compound bow for example, is calculated? I want to make a few changes on .xml of it, to try new values of damage to compound bow... do u know how it works?
So two things i have come across so far that arent the biggest thing but can be bad for in the late game, so the recipe for the bow parts and advanced parts cant be crafted even when maxed out in skills and books, and that the big ammo capacity mod for the compound bow doesnt work for some unknown reason
