Hello, i have a ideal on that subject. You do o great job on letting captain abandon their ship, but i think it must be more excited by adding once more option. Basic on the captain's morale, their will be a change to the captain decide to self-destruct their ship on your boarding operation. That mean 5 star morale captian will never bail their ship and you must perform a boarding operation to capture that ship, 4 star have a small chance and so on. If the captain want to stay and fight with you on the ship, he will say: "Nomatter how dangerous is that criminal, we will fight until die...". At that time, if you want to capture that ship, a boarding operation is necessary, and 5 star captain will have 25% to self-destruct their ship and die with your marines.
Haha, what a bastard that captain is Love the idea. that´ll make the npc crew of a capship more "human-like". And in case of blowing up the ship, an audio announcement fom the captain would be nice. followed by a countdown. eventually then a retreat option is offered...
