This seems to work exactly as it should. The customization from the DGC.ini's are taken to count and all that. The save file just needs to be where ever the Windows records them. Mine for example(Windows 7 with a custom install folder saves them ) are in C:\Users\<windows username>\Searches\Documents\My Games\XCOM - Enemy Within\XComGame\SaveData\<save file name>
maybe im just really tired, but i dont get it? i get the install part that pretty standard for me at least, its what this does, dont get me wrong i have ALWAYS wanted a zombie type mod, or custom missions with just chyrsilyds and "re-animated_ bodies". and this looks to be closer to what ive wished someone who knows how to do what they do to modify the game that way. some of the early long war terror missions were extremely hard and very fulfilling when beaten.
so how does your save work? are we the chyrslids? obviously not the exalt. thats what i dont get? is it possible to even make a "zombie" vs soldiers custom mission? i hope that the next game has better mod support
You control the 10 Chryssalids at the landing zone, against 70 odd Exalt (and 16ish aliens). Killing an Exalt with a Chryssalid means the following turn it gets up as a zombie under your control, 3 turns later the zombie dies and spawns a Chryssalid under your control, the idea being you have to build up your forces until you reach a "critical mass" number of Chryssalids/zombie, and they you just swarm the Exalt, of course picking off/converting Exalt without dying is the tricky part
no worries erm if you could do me a favour and let me know it actually works, i know it sounds odd but xcom saves can be really temperamental when placed "out of their correct order" and i've never tired transferring saves, it would be reassuring to know it actually works :S (by works i mean appears/is visible in the load menu) :S
