It Works for me, I am using the long war version. Is it possible to make it build in the game files ? Every time running the TexMod.exe target the XCOm.exe , target the LongWar.tpf and than run it is a little bit annoying
Installed it on EW steam version according to instructions, got steam to launch TexMod, chose nTex package and launched XComEw.exe but nothing changed in the game. Tried with admin rights and without.
I also have several mods installed via UPK Patcher but accordig to recommended mods they shouldn't have any conflicts. Any suggestions to try?
As far as I know I haven't come across that issue before. Are you running any anti-virus programs that might be interfering with TexMod? I doubt it as that usually causes it to not load, but if you are you could try turning them off to see if that helps. If Steam is loading TexMod and not the defauly EU/EW loading screen then that seems to be working. Have you tried any other TexMods (such as LWReTex or one of the armor/weapon texture mods) to see if they work?
The only other thing I could suggest (which would be a giant PITA) would be to re-verify all your files and get the game back to default, then try the TexMod, then add in your other UPK Patcher mods and test it to see if any of them break it. They shouldn't though, they both work in completely different ways...
Hi. I have a question to you. I'm spanish and i tried to start the game with your mod in my language but i can't do it. If i want to play with your mod i must run the game in english. I like your mod and i want to use it. Can you do something? Sorry if you answer the queston before i did'nt see it. Ty and great job.
I will be moving house shortly (as in tomorrow) and am unlikely to have internet for the moment. Someone suggested I make a bunch of mini mods lik ethe LW Rank Insignia one I did so people can use only certain bits of the mod. As I don't have time to do all this I've uploaded a zip file containing all the individual files used in the Long War version of the mod along with the TexMod definition file. Using these you can customise your own version of nTex to only use the bits you like and leave out the ones you don't!
I'm kind of an idiot so I don't know whether this mod works with LWRetex or not, or whether there's some particular load order in TexMod that needs to be set for them to collaborate. I have a feeling its one or the other, and both look fantastic to me, but I hope to avoid problems down the road and just stick with one if I have to.
As nTex and LWreTex use many of the same textures you can't really pick and choose between them. However you CAN put both into the TexMod load order and then whichever is at the top of the list takes priority, with textures from the one lower down being loaded if the higher one has not replaced them.
You can combine your favourite bits of both by using a TPF extractor to get at the individual files and then TexMod to put them back into a mod again, but that would require some knowledge of using TexMod so research might be in order there!
It's probably the easiest way because you can use that on any TexMod file. If you send me a PM I wouldn't mind zipping up all the nTex ones from the mod to save you the hassle there but obviously I don't have access to anyone elses files

You have to change the language in the following files:
[GameFolder]\XEW\XComGame\Config\DefaultEngine.ini
[GameFolder]\XEW\Engine\Config\BaseEngine.ini
[Documents-Folder]\My Games\XCOM - Enemy Within\XComGame\Config\XComEngine.ini
If you don't have "Enemy Within" but "Enemy Unknown", those are your files:
[GameFolder]\XComGame\Config\DefaultEngine.ini
[GameFolder]\Engine\Config\BaseEngine.ini
[Documents-Folder]\My Games\XCOM - Enemy Unknown\XComGame\Config\XComEngine.ini
Have a look at this link: http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/1062128-ntex/page-28#entry10562976
After you changed all the language-settings (you should have to use "Language=ESN"), you should be fine.
so just to be sure:
You have to change the language in the following files:
[GameFolder]\XEW\XComGame\Config\efaultEngine.ini
[GameFolder]\XEW\Engine\Config\BaseEngine.ini
[Documents-Folder]\My Games\XCOM - Enemy Within\XComGame\Config\XComEngine.ini
If you don't have "Enemy Within" but "Enemy Unknown", those are your files:
[GameFolder]\XComGame\Config\efaultEngine.ini
[GameFolder]\Engine\Config\BaseEngine.ini
[Documents-Folder]\My Games\XCOM - Enemy Unknown\XComGame\Config\XComEngine.ini
NVM fixed it, wasnt actually downloading the file and was getting a 0kp file
