They tried to copy The Witcher 2's bath house scene but 3's version just fell flat and doesn't work, and as you say, ends up breaking immersion because it's just not that funny.
I thought it was funny as hell, Triss and Geralt making love in front of the lighthouse fire and then these 2 guys thinking the fire flickering was some morse code, to me it really added to the entire scene honestly. At one point I was hoping they would take out binoculars to see more closely and then realize what was going on and becoming embarrassed, but sadly this did not happen.
This actually came from the BBC show "Sherlock". The episode was "The Baskerville Hounds" or something titled close to that. Watson saw a car in the distance flashing the headlights and he took it as morse code with the same outcome as in this game.
I was okay with that part of the scene. I do wish the scene showed more of Triss in all her naked glory, though. I know Triss lovers already got a treat in W2 in that regard, but I mean... she is just SO HOT. Plus, this is the finale of their romance
