Fix it but he didn't answer me. So I can't give you the link without his permission , maybe he have plans for the mod I don't know , like I said he didn't answer me. eg : UPDATED - The Red version. Classic 1.32
this mod is a great idea, would be cool if there was like an autumn overhaul mod, complete with floating & blowing leaves, would be excellent with immersive lighting mod
here in Maine, The Great White pine (a very rare type of pine tree) was once the most popular tree here... in the 1970s and 1980s, when I was a kid/teenager you could see thousands of acres of brilliant green 130 foot tall pines everywhere you looked... then in the mid-1990s, they started to change... they lost their rich dark greens and started turning shades of yellow and orange... today barely 20 years later, , Maine is plagued with thousands of acres of dry, dead, needleless deadwood 130 foot tall tree stumps, with almost deed, rusty-red-orange trees between them... Our once abundant green pines, a species found only in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, and neighbouring parts of Canada is estimated to be extinct within the next 15 years.... pines are not the only ones effected... Maples have been hit as well, causing the world-wide increase of prices of maple syrup, an ingredient estimated to go out of existence when the maples of New England go extinct sometime around 2025 .... Because pine wood, maple wood, and maple syrup are among the top 10 job industries here in Maine, full on panic has caused scientists to do lots of research into finding out why our pines and maples are dying... the answer was Long Horn Beetles, boring into the trunks and killing the trees.
Why do I say all this?
Because the red-orange color of the pines in this mod, is EXACTLY what the dying pine trees here in Maine look like. And...
Because in the Witcher novels, we were told the world was hit by a massive famine, cannibalism was on the rise because livestock had already died, mst animals were dead worldwide, because plants had died, the Witcher world in the novels was described as bleak and blighted, with even trees in the forests dying.
I've been trying to make my game more lore friendly, and when I saw this mod, with the red-orange pine trees, my first thought was: OMG! these look just like all the dead/dying pine trees here in Maine! THIS is what the trees in the Witcher world should look like because the trees were dying in their world.
I absolutely love the red pine version of this mod, because, that is exactly how dying pine trees look and it makes the world really look like a famine is killing the world, like we were told in the novels. Yeah, healthy pine trees should be green, but dying pines are reddish orange coloured. I love that this mod gives my game a lore-friendly dying world look to it.
Looks a bit like the pine beetle epidemic. You have a lot of conifers that are brown/orange that would be evergreen... The only conifer/needle tree that changes color in the fall are Larch. Is that what those are? as they do look kind of like a larch
