    Released Immersive Cam v 4.2.

This is probably the final version of Immersive Cam. Building on the 4.0 code base, which has proven very stable, version 4.2 finishes up the last little updates to the mod. There are really no more changes/fixes/improvements remaining on my to-do list; that have been requested by all of you. So, I'm going to tentatively label this as the final version. Of course, if there is a new patch or a bug report, I will update for those reasons.

    Changes in version 4.2

    * Adds a new keybind allowing you to set your 'default camera' using the in-game cam controls. It is entirely feasible to never have to enter the GUI to set camera positions. More details can be found in the updated read-me.

    * Adds the GUI switch for sprint auto-centering (this option was added in v 4.1 but I did not have time then to add the GUI component).

    * Adds zoom option to the horseback camera settings.

I want to give a big thanks to BowmoreLover for the 4.2 Japanese GUI translation! I also would like to encourage you, if you are a native speaker of a language other than English or Japanese, to consider providing a translation for your language. We have partial translations of Polish, Russian, Brazilian-Portugese, and German - so the work to update these would be very small. I would love it if someone would provide French and Italian translations. The translation texts are available for download in the miscellaneous files section. PM me and I'll give you instructions on how to get the translation to me. Thanks.

Version 4.2 adds new keybinds and comes with a new GUI, so don't forget to step through the GUI and Keybind setups again after installing the mod.

    11/10/2016

Converted Immersive Motion for Gamepads into just plain Immersive Motion.

This updated version of the mod works for both gamepads AND keyboard/mouse. For gamepads, the mod will feel the same as the last version of Immersive Motion for Gamepads, but for keyboard/mouse users, the mod is a big improvement over the beta Immersive Motion for Keyboards.

My apologies. There was a minor hiccup in my upload process for the version 4.1 updates and I accidentally included the wrong GUI/keybind setups when I uploaded the mods yesterday. I have fixed and re-uploaded versions of the mods with the correct GUI/keybind setups today. Thank you to those who pointed this error out so that it could be quickly resolved.

    --------------

    11/5/2016

Minor updates to all the mods in the mod suite (except IM for Keyboards).

This update was mainly about improvements to the add-on mods.

*Immersive Motion for GPs is now very similar to Red Dead Redemption/GTA basic movement controls. Its press and hold A to run, double tap and hold A to sprint. Also, the GUI is gone, for good this time. If you are upgrading, you should remove ImmMotionMenu.xml from your bin folder.

*Alt Horse Controls slow motion feature is now tied to Witcher Sense activation. At full gallop, press and hold Witcher Sense to trigger slow motion (bullet time). Release (or slow down) to deactivate slow motion. Slow motion can be used by both gamepad and keyboard/mouse players.

*Immersive Meditation was updated to be compatible with the Immersive Motion for GP changes AND it is now 100 percent merge friendly with Friendly HUD.

*Immersive AI has an addition I have been trying to figure out for the past year. I finally managed to slow down the abnormal movement animations of some of the background NPCs to a realistic speed. I could only get this working for the female background NPCs, but it still makes a big improvement to immersion. I also tweaked deer behavior a bit more.

*ImmersiveCam - I added one minor last minute feature on request. You can now turn off sprint auto centering (via the mod's config file). As I said, this was a last minute addition, so I was unable to provide a GUI switch. However, editing one line in a config file shouldn't be too big a challenge to anyone who prefers sprint auto centering off.

    10/14/2016

    RELEASED IMMERSIVE CAM version 4.0

*Big improvements to the in-game cam controls...
--cam controls are now press and hold instead of tap, tap.
--cam controls now adjust Witcher Sense in ratio to your exploration cam changes so you don't need to go into the GUI to make cam adjustments for normal play.
--cam controls now work in combat, your combat cam settings are saved with your game (just like exploration and horseback cam settings) and are separate from exploration and horseback settings.

*ImmCam has moved away from the vanilla distance settings and gone to a standard interface for GUI cam adjustments. This makes the GUI adjustments more consistent and intuitive. Setting zoom to 1.5 in exterior exploration gives you the exact same zoom level as setting zoom to 1.5 in interior exploration, or Witcher Sense.

*ImmCam has moved away from much of the vanilla camera code and, by doing so, eliminated some persistent bugs.

    * Added FOV (field of view) sliders under the exploration and horseback GUI camera sections. You can put these sliders to different values if you like, but I recommend setting FOV the same in exploration and horseback to maintain smooth camera transistions.

*Adjusted the Immersive Cam default preset to look good with it's new back-end camera systems. The Immersive Cam GUI preset now uses the 'interior camera matches exterior camera' option - I have found through testing that this gives the smoothest most consistent camera.

*Extends the GUI ranges available for many of the camera settings. You can now achieve first person through the GUI as well as the in-game cam controls.

*Added support code for updated add-on mods, Immersive Motion for Gamepads - Re-envisioned and Alternate Horse Controls v 2.0.

    PLEASE NOTE!!!
There is an updated GUI and updated keybind setup for Immersive Cam version 4.0. When you install the mod, your GUI settings will revert to the mod's default. Please don't forget to update your GUI or your input.settings file (input.xml does not need to be updated). Many of the mod's new improvements and features are tied to these files.

    -----------

*RELEASED NEW MOD, 'IMMERSIVE MOTION for GAMEPADS (RE-ENVISIONED)' version 1.0.

I've updated the description page with details. This mod replaces Immersive Motion for Gamepads.

    -----------

RELEASED ALTERNATE HORSE CONTROLS version 2.0

    * Fixes some small issues and fine tunes the mod's gamepad controls
    * Fixes the issue with double tap not triggering gallop immediately
    * Added controlled slow motion for high speed galloping. At full gallop, activating Witcher Sense triggers slow motion (bullet time). This feature is now available for both gamepads and keyboard/mouse.

    -------

    RELEASED IMMERSIVE MEDITATION version 2.9

*Updated to work with Immersive Cam version 4.0's new camera functions.

    --------

    RELEASED IMMERSIVE AI version 1.7

*Deer and geese now 10% less stupid....

    9/16/2016

Released update 3.2. This small update fixes an issue with exploration cam auto-centering not working properly when certain cam options were selected. This update also improves exploration auto-centering responsiveness all around, during the times when it is used. Unzip the content directory from the download and manually copy it into your modImmersiveCam folder. In MOST cases, this update will not require you to remerge mods.

    ---------

    8/31/2016

Updated all mods in the mod collection to work with patch 1.3. A few of the add-on mods were fine as is, so be sure to read the mod's short description on the download page to determine if you need a new file or not (the updated files are listed for patch 1.3 only - the ones not needing updates are listed for patches 1.22 - 1.3).

*Included updated Immersive Cam Japanese and Polish localization files in version 3.1, thanks to BowmoreLover and Pumpernikel.

*ImmCam 3.1 also makes a minor update to the headtracking calls to disable headtracking in certain situations (clue investigation, etc..).

    -----

    8/28/2016

Updated Immersive Motion to version 3.8
    * Fixes a bug that prevented players from running in combat

    -----

    8/13/2016

Updated mods to the following versions:

    Immersive Cam - 3.0.2
    * Adds support for updated add-on mods below.
    * Streamlined some code, added in the 3.0.1 patch fix and another minor cam fix.
    * Updated the localization files in English, Japanese (BowmoreLover), and Polish (Pumpernikel).
    * Fixed the behavior of the vanilla jump camera. It did not follow Geralt's jump trajectory in certain situations and now it does. This looks better, IMO, in 3rd person mode (jumping doesn't look goofy when the camera follows the arc of your jump) and this cam tweak is essential for those who zoom into 1st person mode.

    Immersive Motion : 3.7
    * (New GUI to install)
    * Added an option to allow you to turn on/off gradual sprint acceleration.

    Immersive Meditation : 2.7
    * (New GUI to install)
    * Fixed an issue where you could accidentally enter meditation through the radial menu when in combat.
    * Moved the GUI to it's own entry under options | mods. This is because with ImmMed installed, the ImmCam GUI camera settings menu had become too long for the game to properly manage.

    Alt Horse Controls : 1.7
    * (New GUI and input.xml file to install)
    * Updates localization files for English, Japanese (BowmoreLover), and Polish (Pumpernikel).
    * Adds a GUI option to allow you to set whether Roach automatically follows roads by default.

    --------

    Posted patch 3.0.1.

This patch fixes a minor camera issue where the interior camera would reset to the exterior camera when using the stairs inside a building.

    --------

    7/21/2016
Updated Immersive Cam to version 3.0

Please note!!! Version 3.0 comes with a new GUI menu (and new input.xml file for keybinds). Please take note of your custom camera settings before updating from a previous mod version! Updating to version 3.0 reverts your camera settings to the mod's default values (the Immersive Cam presets). I apologize for the inconvenience, but the reset is necessary.

    Changes in version 3.0:

** Fixes multiple minor camera hiccups and inconsistencies.
** Fixes issue where camera reverts to vanilla settings when walking on a boat.
** Improves underwater swimming camera positioning.
** Adds new 'examine clue' camera settings.
** Adds new hard-lock target camera adjustments to the combat camera.
** Adds Close-L and Close-R GUI presets to the witcher sense camera settings GUI.
** Changes the name of the 'locked combat camera' option to 'static combat camera'.
** Refines the consistency and behavior of the static combat camera.
** Updates the Immersive Cam and Close Combat GUI presets to incorporate the new hard-lock target settings.
    6/28/2016
Updated Immersive Cam to version 2.6.1.
Fixed an issue where the wrong camera zoom settings were read during very specific situations (when locked into following NPCs at certain points of the game, when using Kierra's magic lamp).

    ------

Updated Immersive Meditation to version 2.6.1
Fixed an issue with the 'FREE MEDITATION CAM' option not functioning correctly when entering meditation from the common menu (the menu containing map, inventory, character, etc..).

    -----

    6/24/2016
Updated Immersive Cam to version 2.6. Functionally, v 2.6 is the same as v 2.5.4. However, v 2.6 adds some prerequisite code for new features in the add-on mod, Alternate Horse Controls. I also shifted some code around so that Immersive Cam would merge with Friendly HUD (using Script Merger) automatically. No unsolvable errors.

In addition, I've uploaded an extensive ReadMe to the site. This ReadMe is the official Immersive Cam user guide and contains a lot of useful information about the mod's configuration and troubleshooting. Please don't post on the forums to ask about a problem unless you checked the ReadMe for a solution first.

Version 2.6 combines the GUI and Keybind setups into the main mod download. Refer to the ReadMe for additonal information.

    -----

    6/24/2016
Updated Alternate Horse Controls to version 1.6. Added a GUI menu and hotkey toggle for automatic road following.

    The GUI has two options:
    Standard Steering Mode for Exploration
Standard Steering Mode for Horse Racing

Standard steering mode doesn't change the mod's speed control (spurs). These options allow you to revert to the vanilla 'steering' system in the specified situations if you prefer. If you use a gamepad, I recommend leaving the Exploration setting OFF. If you use a KB/Mouse, you may prefer to turn this setting ON as it will allow you to steer Roach using the W key and the mouse.

If you are having trouble winning horse races, even with a gamepad, you might want to revert to the standard steering mode for horse racing.

The new hotkey feature allows you to toggle automatic road following on and off. For gamepad the hotkey is (Depress Left Stick). For keyboard the hotkey is (Left CTRL).

    ------------------
    ------------------

    6/18/2016
Added IMMERSIVE MOTION for KEYBOARDS by popular request. (beta). So here's how it works. It turns the walk/run toggle (Lft-Ctrl) into a slow walk/normal walk toggle. Power walking is a thing of the past. Hold the left shift key to sprint. Also added the gradual sprinting speedup just like in Immersive Motion for Gamepads. The mod is stand-alone, meaning it does not require Immersive Cam to work. There's no GUI for it and no configuration.

    -----

    6/16/2016
Updated the main mod for patch 1.22 and re-added the Friendly HUD compatible version (also updated for patch 1.22). I didn't have much time to test things, but as always, let me know if you run into any issues.

    -----

    6/01/2016
Discovered a bug with version 2.5.1 (the updated for patch 1.21 Immersive Cam). The interior cam settings were not working correctly. These things sometimes happen when trying to push out patch updates on a massive mod like Immersive Cam without the luxury of a week or two of testing first. I thought I had corrected the issue, but it was only 'partially corrected' with version 2.5.2. I think this time I've finally got it and I have uploaded a new file (version 2.5.3) - sheesh. Sorry for the successive updates. If you discover any other bugs with the new release be sure to post a note and let me know. Thanks.

    ------

    5/31/2016
Thank you to everyone for the kind words and the suggestions. Immersive Cam, the main mod, and Immersive Motion have been updated to work with patch 1.21. I'm working on updates for the other optional mods currently. All the updates for this mod collection are on track to be completed by sometime tomorrow.

5/21/2016 - Updated Immersive Cam, Immersive Meditation, Immersive Motion, Immersive AI, and Alternate Horse Controls to their latest versions. There are alot of minor (and some major) improvements that have gone into this last batch of updates to the mod collection. Here's a quick list in no particular order.

** Immersive Cam:Added a locked combat option. When enabled, this option prevents the combat cam from zooming in and out during combat.

** Immersive Cam:Changed the 'CLOSE COMBAT' predefined cam definition to use the new locked combat cam option and changed the camera settings accordingly.

** Immersive Cam:Changed Witcher Sense Zoom distances while swimming - now no zoom in. Many users complained about the Witcher Sense cam zooming in too close while swimming. This update should correct that issue.

** Immersive Cam: Improved the smoothness of camera transitions (again). These are transitions while mounting a horse, boat, climbing, etc...

** Immersive Cam: Added greater pitch control while swimming. You can now swing the camera up a bit while swimming.

** Alternate Horse Controls: When in combat on horseback your horse will no longer attempt to stick to the road. This gives you finer control over your horse to line up a good sword swing.

** Immersive Motion for Gamepads: Added the much requested 'gradual' sprinting speed up (this looks more natural).

** Immersive Meditation: Smoothed and improved camera transitions into and out of the meditation state (again).

** Immersive Meditation: Added an option for 'Use Campfire'. Turn this option off to disable Geralt making a campfire during meditation.

** Immersive Meditation: Added an option for 'Free Meditation Camera'. Turn this option on to allow you to rotate the camera at will during meditation.

** Immersive AI: Fixed some issues with NPC follower distance and speed.

    -----

2/27/2016 - Updated Immersive Cam to version 2.3.4

    * Makes several improvements to Smart Auto Rotation performance and consistency
    * Improves and smooths camera transitions between various camera states

    ----------

2/27/2016 - Updated Immersive Meditation to version 1.5

    * Improves and smooths the camera transitions into and out of meditation state.

    ----------

    2/27/2016 - Added Immersive AI version 1.0

    * Eliminates many silly monster/animal/npc behaviors. Refer to the description page for more details.

    ----------

2/15/2016 - Updated Alternate Horse Controls for Gamepads to version 1.2

    * Improves the left stick (reins) controls. Steering and braking are now more intuitive. The reins work exactly as advertised.

    ----------

2/8/2016 - Updated Immersive Cam to version 2.3.3

    * Fixes an issue where the camera would briefly revert to vanilla settings when casting a sign outside of combat.

    ----------

2/8/2016 - Updated Alternate Horse Controls to version 1.1

    * Added the BRAKE_THRESHOLD setting, allowing players to set how far back the stick must be pulled in order for it to cause their horse to slow or stop.

    * Added a feature that allows players to control the direction Geralt dismounts from Roach. Geralt dismounts in the direction the camera is facing. ( Look left, Geralt dismounts to the left / Look right, Geralt dismounts to the right. )

    ----------

1/27/2016 - Updated Immersive Cam to version 2.3.2

    * Fixes an issue with sprint cam settings for players using the alternate movement mode
    * Incorporates the updated Russian, German, and Brazilian Portuguese GUI translations provided by CurtiSRustY, Yesin, and Triskl3.

    ----------

1/27/2016 - Added Alternate Horse Controls for Gamepads v 1.0

This is a mod I'm really proud of. It was my first mod concept for the Witcher 3, but until recently, I had neither the time nor know-how to complete it. Alt Horse Controls increases the level of control you have on horseback in a BIG way. With this mod, your horse riding controls become easy and intuitive. You can read a detailed description of the mod's features on the main page.

    ----------

A big thank you to CurtiSRustY, Yesin, and Triskl3 for contributing translations to the GUI translation pack!

    -----------

    - 1/17/2016 - Updated Immersive Cam to version 2.3.1

    * Fixes an issue with the exploration cam pitch range
    * Fixes an issue with the Igni Firestream cam customization
    * Adds custom localization strings directly to the mod content (English and Russian only, for now). This means that the 'Custom Localization Fix' mod is no longer required for any of the Immersive GUI menus.

    ----------

    - 1/12/2016 - Updated Immersive Cam to version 2.3.0

    * Makes mod compatible with patch 1.12
    * Adds sprint camera customization settings
    * Adds support for add-on mod, Immersive Meditation
    * Fixes some weird (bugged) camera shifts in the vanilla code relating to the Aim/Throw cam and the Witcher Sense cam.
    * Increases the range of camera movement available through the GUI menu - allows folks with motion sickness to zoom the camera farther out.

    ----------

    - 1/12/2016 - Updated Immersive Motion for Gamepads to version 3.3.0

    * Makes mod compatible with patch 1.12
    * Fully reworks the vanilla movement function so that you have full control of your speed in every situation, including combat. No more weird speeds ups/slowdowns when going into a cutscene or dialogue, when following certain NPCs, etc...
    * Adds the ability to turn off vanilla movement correction (this is where the game takes control of your movement and tries to steer you through doorways. If you like this feature, turn it on. Personally, I found it annoying.
    * Fixes a bug where if you installed the ImmCam GUI, but did not install the ImmMotion GUI, you could not move Geralt.

    ----------

    - 1/12/2016 - Added Immersive Meditation v 1.0

    * This is a customizable version of Erxv's 'Meditation UI Mod' which runs seamlessly with Immersive Cam. Offered to you here with Erxv's permission. Thanks Erxv!

SCRIPT COMPILATION ERRORS after updating to the latest PATCH or REINSTALLING? - - READ THIS.
    Spoiler:
    Show

Seems like CDPR has provided bad script sources again on some download platforms for patch 1.12 (and the same thing again for patch 1.21). This seems to be a reoccurring theme, unfortunately. :/

If you are seeing complilation errors like these...

Error [content0]game\player\playerwitcher.ws(14: Function 'LogWithName' does not take 1 param(s)
Error [content0]game\gameplay\focus\focus.ws(199): Function 'LogWithName' does not take 1 param(s)
Error [content0]game\gameplay\focus\focus.ws(253): Function 'LogWithName' does not take 1 param(s)
Error [content0]game\gui\menus\gwintgamemenu.ws(104): Function 'LogWithName' does not take 1 param(s)

    or these...

Error [modimmersivecam]game\player\r4player.ws(10149): Unknown type 'W3Effect_Oil' for property 'oil'.
Error [modimmersivecam]game\player\r4player.ws(10167): Unknown type 'W3OilBuffParams' for property 'oilParams'.
Error [modimmersivecam]game\player\r4player.ws(10201): Unknown type 'W3Effect_Oil' for property 'oil'.
Error [modimmersivecam]game\player\r4player.ws(10224): Unknown type 'W3Effect_Oil' for property 'oil'.

It is probably a bad script source folder.

Download the 'patch x.xx script sources for players having problems compiling any script mods' from the miscellaneous files download.

Then delete your ...\The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt\content\content0\scripts folder (make a backup copy of it first though, just in case).

Unpack and copy the scripts folder from the download into ...\The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt\content\content0.

Now clear out your mods folder and only add in one script mod (Immersive Cam) and try to reload the game. If the game compiles and runs fine, you can start adding in your other mods one at a time (as long as those mods have been updated for patch 1.12). At some point, you may have to run Script Merger to combine some of your script mods. But, if you made it that far, your problem with script sources is resolved and you just follow the normal procedures for combining mods with Script Merger. Good luck!

LOCALIZATION STRINGS for LANGUAGES other than ENGLISH.
    Spoiler:
    Show

We need volunteers to translate this mods English localization files to other languages. If you are willing to help other players like yourself by taking on one of the translations, the English file version can be downloaded from the Miscellaneous files section. PM my nexus account with any questions or to let me know you are willing to do one of the translations. My thanks in advance.

    GOTY OWNERS!!!

It's possible to run this mod with the GOTY version even though the mod wasn't built for that game version, but you'll need to work through some additional steps. Check out the page listed below.

A screenshot of my Immersive Loot (misc mod file) settings, if anyone is interested. These would be my recommendations, if I were making any...

So here's a more detailed explanation of what the mod does.

    Weapons
    1) Changes stats on all relic swords, making them feasible replacements to witcher weapons (kind of like relic weapons redone, only IMO, slightly more balanced)
    2) Auto levels witcher and relic weapons
    3) Allows you to set the approximate level of weapons when you find them
    5) Adjusts some stats on the wolven swords
    6) Changes the appearance of your starter swords (they look damned good) and makes your starter swords witcher gear so you can auto-level them.
    7) You start the game with crafting diagrams that allow you to upgrade your starter swords.
Changes the appearance of the higher level wolven swords (they look damn good).
    9) Instead of the lame 'Blade from the Bits' sword you usually receive for completing the Master Weaponsmith quest, you get a beautiful and highly useful unique relic sword called 'Oathkeeper'.

    Armor
    1) Creates four levels of Kaer Morhen armor... You start the game with the basic level and with diagrams to upgrade your armor to enhanced. You should be able to have enhanced KM armor by the time you leave White Orchard.
    2) You can find superior and mastercrafted KM armor diagrams as random treasure, but you will recieve a full set of superior diagrams for completing the quest Ladies of the Wood.
    3) You will recieve a full set of mastercrafted KM armor for completing the Master Armorers quest.

    General Gear and Loot
    1) Allows you to equip gear above your level (adjustable in the GUI)
    2) Gets rid of a lot of the random food item drops on NPC corpses. Seriously, who wants a chicken sandwich covered in guts and gore as a loot drop?

hey teemo dude i already fixed it and managed to merged both. I can't remember what i did with the merging of script but try prioritizing the codes of SCAAR. Select the SCAAR codes each line. If i remember correctly its B C C something like that i hope it helps took me many tries of trial and error before it worked.

you have to add the settings file names to dx11filelist.txt and dx12filelist.txt. I didn't update the README in this personal build so it doesn't include that step.

I am providing the following from Bobtheflea's instructions in his mod:

How to get in game menus working-

      Step 1.
      Copy ImmCamMenu.xml to
      <path to your game>\bin\config\r4game\user_config_matrix\pc
Overwrite the existing file, if there is one.
      Step 2.
Edit both files in the same path <path to your game>\bin\config\r4game\user_config_matrix\pc
      dx11filelist.txt
      dx12filelist.txt
      and add the line:
      ImmCamMenu.xml;

This is the classic version, you don’t need to do this here, don’t mislead people.

A solution to the camera shake problem. This is an old bug that is most often found in mods related to changing camera settings or other camera related actions.

    1. Turn off vertical Sync in the game.
    2. Go to NVIDIA Control Panel.
    3. Find Vertical Sync option.
    4. Set it to Fast.

Congratulations, you will never see camera shake again.

This mode can break a lot of things if you go far enough with tuning every option.
I don't recommend using it. For example, it broke the shooting range on the tournament for me, and I had only edited aiming presets.

(I had to reinstall the mod to restore the default settings, and then delete it again)

Man if someone made an Alt Horse Controls version where pressing S would turn the horse towards the camera, and pressing X instead of S would stop the horse. Would be perfect.

Hey, had a few questions about the slow motion feature. Does increasing the factor increase or decrease slow motion? And also how similar is the slow motion feature to critical slo mo redux?

I have some arrears in giving back endorsements fo mod creators. So this is it - thanks @ksolberg for your work! ImmersiveCam is a must-have for me, the same with Immersive Motion. Both in NextGen, but you're the original creator, so thank you and hope you're doing well. Maybe some day we will see the ImmersiveLoot mod somewhere around? Hope so!

Hi, does anyone know how I can edit the vertical angle of the camera?
