Just curious as to why the file size is so large? Have you only modified the chest armour and trousers texture files?

EDIT: There's about 300 files and 100 folders in your mod. Probably a mistake. The only files I can see being required are l_01_mg__nilfgardian_d01.xbm and t_01_mg__nilfgardian_d01.xbm. I re-cooked and packed only these files into a mod and it works fine, same result as it was before but a LOT smaller. You might want to do the same and upload a new version. Some people might be hitting the texture mod limit quicker because of this mod.

Well that's embarrassing. Thank you so much for telling me I fixed both files, and I'm really sorry to anyone who downloaded the mod when it was bloated.

Thanks for this! I use the nilf pants mix matched with other witcher set parts, but the checkered boxers were always to eye catching. So i came looking a retexture, and you delivered. kudos

Thanks for the mod. It works with the Hearts of Stone and Blood & Wine DLCs installed.

Hm, it doesn't seem to be working for me either :/
Other texture mods seem to be doing fine.

I haven't updated the mod in a while, but this is the first time someone told me it's not working :S
Are the other armor texture mods working for you?

Awesome idea. Great mod. Any chance you could make a no checkers only variant that also changes gold armor plates to silver? Geralt would never wear gold, lets be honest lol.

"He ploughin' wears golden armor. 'Course he's an arsehole."

Is it a shader that applies the gold? If so I believe you would just need to open the fale that has the same name as the file for the armor but is labeled '_a01' instead of '_d01'. These are the shader files for the meshes. They overlay the _d01 (or d_02 and so on, whatever file number it is for the mesh) files and tell the game to apply a shade to this correlating to the strange color on the shader map. It sould look exactly like the _d01 file (which stands for diffuse map 01), just oddly colored. Now I cant even begin to tell you what all these colors translate to as far as the corresponding shader effect. But I do know if you desaturate it, it seeeems to remove the color shader. So just look at your diffuse map, find the area that would be the armor plates, and desature (turn to grey) that exact section on the shader map. Thats all it takes.

Or you can just upload the files you extracted and I can do it lol. I just dont have the ability to uncook the dlc files.

Yeah, I just tried it and the entire armor ended up shiny. The 'gold plating' is on the specularity map.
I'll try to pm you the files.

The nilfgaardian ''gold'' is actually polished brass, gold is rubish armor material and serves no practical purpose

Endorsed just for the pants. Never did like the chequered look, but loved the knee armour plates or whatever they are. Looks much better with any armour set now. Thanks!
