Hello there, you've come to the right place! Great to have you here at the start of your W3 modding journey! Indeed, it is very simple to use:
Have you found a hairstyle you like from the main files? Be careful, there are many options that differ based on style and color and you can see them all in the pictures.
Would you like to use additionally any of the optional files? Then choose those you like the most and download them too.
Create a folder named "mods" if you don't have one already in the main W3 directory. That's the one that has the folders "bin" and "dlc" among others.
Unpack/uncompress the files you decided to download inside the "mods" folder. The contained folders should all start with "mod-xyz".
That's it, launch the game and remember to enable the Triss DLC appearance from the main menu, as the majority of the mods here - unless stated otherwise - change her DLC appearance.
Hi, I really like this mod, but I have a desire to change something for myself, especially for this I learned how to edit and create mods for the Witcher 3, as well as how to edit models and so on. And my question is how can I get in touch with you and talk a little bit so that you can explain to me how it actually works. I am ready to contact you in any form. Tell me where and I'll give you my contacts. For example, my discord: shaman1411 or my Telegram: @Nik_Nik_Savin
Hey, that is not available on this modpage. It must have been made by someone else who either took the hair from this or made it alone, but I don't know anything about it.
Hi is this mod works only on DLC? i put (bordeaux) "modaDLCTrissCustomHair4_NGE" and "mod0UniqueTrissEyesV3" to "mods" and nothing happens. Triss are still standard in the base game..
Any chance to get a fix for the clipping with her default hairstyle as well? It doesn't happen all the time but it clips in her left cheek when she moves around. A fix for the hair clipping under hoods would also be nice for people who don't want to remove hoods altogether. She is in hiding after all.
Hi opengrip, tbh I hadn't noticed much of that. Do you have a screenshot or a save before a particular scene where this issue is prominent? It could potentially be fixed for sure. Now, regarding her "hood hair", it doesn't have any motion iirc, they are instead static. If you have a screenshot of that issue as well that would be helpful!
Hello. Nice work and well done, I Used your improved characters years ago and it was amazing. Haven't had a proper pc to run the game in next gen yet but I'm gathering the ng mods for the day I finally get to experience the game, can't wait :) Thanks again for your time and effort.
Hey, this mod was made to maintain and enhance Triss as she is depicted in-game, unlike in the books. But I could look into this if I have time, and if something good comes out of it I will upload it here.
Yes, it is possible, but then it would conflict with all other mods that change her appearance using the entity files. Some mods like that are the automatic dress-switching mods, some of the naked texture body 4k upscaling texture mods, most likely the post-endgame character-spawning mods as well.
For a bit more context: It's too much effort, and rather inappropriate, to go through integrating all those other mods' changes into such a mod. Additionally, at the moment, I'm planning to take my mods here in the opposite direction, in order to make them super compatible and eliminate as much as possible any conflicts with those other mods I mentioned above.
If you still would like to have a default-dress Triss with those items and don't want/plan to use any other conflicting mods for Triss, then hit me up in the DMs and we can discuss making a unique custom version for you as a modding request. Cheers!
