To everyone requesting to have all vanilla relics scaled, go to your "mods\modLevelingGear\content\scripts\game\components" (or "mods\mod0000_MergedFiles\content\scripts\game\components" if you have merged the mod with conflicting ones) then edit the inventoryComponent file via Notepad or Notepad++. Go to line 299 "returnitemQuality == 5 || ( itemQuality == 4 && ItemHasTag(item, 'EP1') )" and change it to "returnitemQuality == 5 || itemQuality == 4" now every vanilla relics whether it's armors or weapons will be scaled to your level(stats will still be random because of autogen but it will be appropriate for the level range) and if you want to scale Aerondight you have to delete "|| ItemHasTag(item, 'Aerondight')" on line 296. Hey Man, would you know how to get rid of witcher gear being scaled? I'm currently looking at that area and trying to edit the lines over and over with no previous experience and constantly starting and closing the game to see no change, could you help me out?
If you want it targeting every relic aside from the witcher gear and aerondight, the following should help you.
Line 296 should be: && !ItemHasTag(item, 'PlayerSteelWeapon') && !ItemHasTag(item, 'PlayerSilverWeapon') || ItemHasTag(item, 'Aerondight') || itemQuality == 5 ) Remove the || ItemHasTag(item, 'Aerondight') if you want Aerondight to scale too.
Line 299 should be: returnitemQuality == 4 Rough translation relevant lines. Line 296 dictates what the functions should ignore and is a direct continuation from line 295. In english it says if the relic isn't armor, pants, gloves, boots, a sword, OR it is aerondight(if you left that bit) OR it is witcher gear(Item Quality 5); don't scale it.
299 determines what is scalable. If you want it scaling any armor/weapon relic, 'ItemQuality == 4' is all you need. This line doesn't need alteration if you remove the aerondight bit from line 296 as described above. Only witcher gear has an item quality of 5, thus Aerondight(item quality of 4 AKA Relic) would properly scale if it weren't forbidden to on line 296.
if you have additional items you'd like to scale that aren't covered by just "Item Quality 4", you can add them directly below line 299 in the exact format the others are listed. Example: || itemName == 'Item ID(look it up via google)' Move line 300 down(hit enter) and correct it's format, now add your item to line 300 in the formatting shown above. Last make sure the formatting is consistent throughout the listed items and you should be good to go. Bear in mind that the item ID is case sensitive, just as it would be in the debug console.
The mod from Mizuwokiru link is working but it scales ALL ITEMS and ONLY ARMOR AND DAMAGE and not the stats of the weapons and armors, just so you know.
Ofc, it doesn't change additional stats like bonuses. Original mod doesn't change it too. All what I did is just took original script and manually applied mod changes to it. I used Notepad++ with Compare plugin (it's built-in) for that. Regarding to leveling the Witcher gear, my archive is based on "modLevelingGear1.1_everything.7z" so it levels everything.

I downloaded the link on firefox with all my adblock in place and it still worked fine. Then I dragged the file over into vortex and let vortex handle the install. I recommend everyone with questions to follow this same format.

Thanks a a ton. It finally works. What this game needed was what most others got, the appearance tab for the look. The clan chief gives you a sword. You don't want to use non witcher set, but it's his gift. It should have been possible to have both. But that mod is what I've wanted for days now. I kept finding junk way higher on level than the sets that were so hard to get. How much or little it affected gameplay, who knows, I got through hard bosses in lvl 34 stuff while I was higher. It just felt wrong.
I updated mine with their file that's now dead unfortunately like you said but i did manage to upload it to a site for 30 days with 2 options. They both scale relic and witcher gear and nothing below those 2 but the options are Scaling aerodight with your level which cancels the damage buffs you can get with it or leave it alone with No scaling aerondight which wont increase its damage with your level but you can charge it up and get permanent damage buffs to it so its up to you which one you like. happy modding!

I tested this on 4.02 and did most of a playthrough with it but i just finished the game and dont plan on testing further patches so test at your own will. credit goes to Mizuwokiru's updated version.
For those who installed Mizuwokiru's updated version linked below who want the mod to affect ONLY relic and witcher gear, after exactly following the instructions posted by Shibouro a little further below, I kept getting a syntax error. I played around with the inventoryComponent file in notepad++ (this is completely free and very handy, if you dont already have it) and got it working with the following change: On line 299, change "itemQuality == 5 || itemQuality == 4" to "itemQuality == 5 || itemQuality == 4;" without that semicolon the game wont launch!
Are you sure it's line 299? Because after checking file downloaded in Mizuwokiru and tried to follow what Shibouro stated below, but the file doesn't seem to be exactly like this.
ah, sorry, should've specified - it IS 299 in Mizuwokiru's version, but if you're editing your resulting merged file, then the line number will be different! I preferred to edit the file in modLevelingGears directly so I don't have to redo it whenever I need to remerge
I downloaded the Mizuwokiru-adapted mod (from someone else's link: https://pixeldrain.com/u/cm4kUeJA) and I'm curious if leaving the exclamation off the start of this part of the code was intentional:

Disregard error. This mod is not compatible with 'Armour and Weapon Slower or Faster Durability Lose NG' mod which gives the following errors listed above. I removed it and all is fine now.
It's not that it isn't compatible. I just used a website called Code Diff Tool to and copy/pasted the one file they have in common (which is the entirety of the Durability mod we both use). There was only one area that mattered: line 215 through 217 controls the durability loss numbers. You just have to adjust those lines in the Mizu file mod file to whatever you want. All that person seemed to do was cut the numbers in that line in half. The other differences in the code seem to be completely intentional for the scaling to work.
Yeah. Apparently the mod I updated (which also did not use proper credits) which did the exact same thing I did is OK, but mine is not. No problem, they took it down. Sorry for all of you who wanted to use it.

This was what finally worked. DL it, run nexus, in mods install from a file button, then run the merge tool as prompted. Witcher 3 itself ran it's own merger too before

Rough translation relevant lines. Line 296 dictates what the functions should ignore and is a direct continuation from line 295. In english it says if the relic isn't armor, pants, gloves, boots, a sword, OR it is aerondight(if you left that bit) OR it is witcher gear(Item Quality 5); don't scale it.
299 determines what is scalable. If you want it scaling any armor/weapon relic, 'ItemQuality == 4' is all you need. This line doesn't need alteration if you remove the aerondight bit from line 296 as described above. Only witcher gear has an item quality of 5, thus Aerondight(item quality of 4 AKA Relic) would properly scale if it weren't forbidden to on line 296.
if you have additional items you'd like to scale that aren't covered by just "Item Quality 4", you can add them directly below line 299 in the exact format the others are listed. Example:

Move line 300 down(hit enter) and correct it's format, now add your item to line 300 in the formatting shown above. Last make sure the formatting is consistent throughout the listed items and you should be good to go. I tested this on 4.02 and did most of a playthrough with it but i just finished the game and dont plan on testing further patches so test at your own will. credit goes to Mizuwokiru's updated version.
On line 299, change "itemQuality == 5 || itemQuality == 4" to "itemQuality == 5 || itemQuality == 4;"
without that semicolon the game wont launch!

And as for the pictures - you need to upload them somewhere (imgur for example) and then use the picture inserting function.
I downloaded the Mizuwokiru-adapted mod (from someone else's link: https://pixeldrain.com/u/cm4kUeJA) and I'm curious if leaving the exclamation off the start of this part of the code was intentional:

Shouldn't it be !ItemHasTag, the same way all the stuff before uses one? I don't code, so I have no idea.
