If you ever come back again, try using Thib's Camera mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/1532/ and use the Free Combat mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/1992 to turn off enemy strafing. This will keep the camera close to (and centered on rather than near) Geralt 95% of the time, including combat (although not when swinging when enemies aren't near for some reason). If you don't like the camera angle/fov you can edit them relatively easily in the r4 file with Thib's mod. I've gotten my camera to be nearly identical to my custom setup in W2.

Immersive Cam could satisfy your needs, maybe. I never tried, so I can't say for sure. https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/689

I'm pretty sure that TW2 camera zoomed out during fights with multiple enemies, tho.

Oh hey, thanks man, I did return and yep gunna give this one a try :D
I've always used Absolute camera mod tho, however it's very time consuming to set up and, even then, certain actions causes the camera to zoom out for a second (battle end, casting signs!!) so am hoping this will stop that sheet.
Also that 2nd mod you recommended, for combat, doesn't seem to have any camera related properties?

Damnit, Thib's mod, and most camera mods actually, don't seem compatible with Friendly Meditation or 'Immersive Motion for gamepads - Re-envisioned'. That is, I'm getting alot of script merge errors that don't seem fixed no matter which ordering I put them in. . .
I remember now, this is why I was stuck with using Absolute Camera, despite it occasionally zooming out randomly, because it's the only one compatible with those two must have mods for me! D:

Since I've installed this mod, Roach simply won't ever appear when Geralt whistles. That make sense to anyone here?

It's working for me. Just tried. I don't know why you got this problem...

I've been sitting here for two hours trying to make these camera mods work. You are a gentleman and a scholar.

works great but i want to ask you a favor..what line do i need to edit to make it just a bit further from geralt ?i feel like something between w3 and w2 camera would be best, since i kinda get nausea when turing around quick XD

Are you aware of the Absolute Camera mod, that allows you to set whatever values you want for every camera state in the game?

Yes, that's a really good mod. I've always preferred this one though, 'cause it immediately gave me the results I wanted without doing trial&error.
      I'm really lazy, I know.

Fair enough, if it provides the exact settings you need
