Updated the mod to version 3.31, here's the changelog:
- Fixed a game bug where horse mane is displayed incorrectly over the Caparison of Lament saddle. - Added more frequent hair validation on top of the initial checks on horse spawning.
As usual, let me know of any issues here and I'll do my best to address them.
Is this mod still needed for Witcher 4.04? Or was it fixed in vanilla game? (I can see that there are plenty of changes in vaniilla script horseManager.ws)
Good God man please reply...I am also wondering. My Ravix of Fourhorn saddle has no tail what-so-ever. Not normal, not braided, zero tail. I would at least love to have the normal looking tail with this saddle if not braided
EDIT: I just noticed the OP's post is 5 years old, so I'm not clinging on to hope:)
Didn't know about the mane and tail bug until tonight... when I noticed Roach's tail looked partially braided and he had less than half of her mane. Looked ridiculous. Thank goodness for this fix. Still works on Next Gen! There's an upcoming patch... Wonder if they'll get around to fixing this bug? I won't hold my breath.

Line 84 in maneTailFix.ws should read as follows:
fixed = RemoveItem('Horse braided tail 2', (inventory.HasItem('Toussaint saddle') || inventory.HasItem('Toussaint saddle 4') || inventory.HasItem('Toussaint saddle 6') || inventory.HasItem('Tourney Geralt Saddle') || inventory.HasItem('Tourney Ravix Saddle'))) || fixed;
