Q: Will you update the mod for patch $PATCH_VERSION? A: Yes.
Q: When will you update the mod for patch $PATCH_VERSION? A: When I'll have free time. For precise estimates seek "Valve Time" in Google.
Q: Some features are broken and/or not working at all! A: Open the tab "Bugs" in the mod header and fill the bugreport with more detailed description of your issue. Check whether your issue is a vanilla bug. If any other mods are installed besides BCEu, check them for conflicts using Script Merger tool.
Q: Do you plan to add new combat mechanics, for example, $FEATURE_NAME? A: No. The mod is intended to improve the existing combat system, not to invent a new one.
Q: Can you update another mod $MOD_NAME to the current game version? A: Yes, I can.
Q: Will you update another mod $MOD_NAME to the current game version? A: No, I won't.
Can't get this mod to work on my Steam version 1.32. It creates script conflicts that aren't detected in the script merger but are detected by the game and prevents it from launching.
The game's combat is really boring and I hope I can get a combat mod of some kind to work, is this one supposed to work on the current version? Is there another version of it somewhere else? Please Help!
Receiving the following errors when attempting to use this mod. Any help would be appreciated. I have reverted to a fresh install with no other mods. When attempting to use script Merger v0.6.2, it says "Found 1 mod 6 scripts, 0 xmls, 1 bundle. There doesn't appear to be anything I can merge with as I have removed all other mods to eliminate conflicts. I really want to make this mod work. I've lost all interest in the game after Better Combat Enhanced broke in 1.10.

You should follow sparkybear4 instructions as they worked perfectly for me. Thanks a lot to AlizarinCrimson and sparkybear4 by the way.
Here's what I did step by step : - create new mod folder "modBCEuPersonnalUpdate" - create folder tree "modBCEuPersonnalUpdate\content\scripts\game\gameplay\ability" - paste vanilla "PlayerAbilityManager.ws" (located here in my config "content\content0\scripts\game\gameplay\ability" ) into previous "ability" folder - launch Script Merger & check Options > Merging > Review each (to review auto-merge) - carefully merge files with all from Vanilla except BCEm commented modification (~ l.37-44, ~ l.140, ~ l.147-257, ~ l.444-448 )
This let me run the script compilation without any error.
I seemed to get a bit of this working however, much of the mod doesn't seem to be working. The skills were effected but all the changes to combat seem unmoved. I still roll infinitally.
Ok so I tried what TheSnowRider, sparkybear4 and AlizarinCrimson had suggested and it works perfectly fine ! (with 1.31 Steam no extension) Thank you guys
I installed this mod, the game seems easy so far? Just defeated the werewolf hunter, wasn't a struggle at all compared to vanilla. He didn't even regen HP? Anyone care to share their experiences?
I've been using this with updated scripts (for the latest patch). Only issue seems to be that the newly added mutations of B&W are sometimes bugged, they cost you mutagens and ability points but are not researched after clicking. Not always, mind you. Anyone experiencing this, or any possible solutions?
Here's how to make this work on 1.31, GOTY (with both expansions installed AND without):
- create new mod folder "modBCEuPersonnalUpdate" - create folder tree "modBCEuPersonnalUpdate\content\scripts\game\gameplay\ability" - paste vanilla "PlayerAbilityManager.ws" (located here in my config "content\content0\scripts\game\gameplay\ability" ) into the "ability" folder you just made - launch Script Merger & check Options > Merging > Review each (to review auto-merge) - carefully merge files with all from Vanilla except BCEm commented modification (~ l.37-44, ~ l.140, ~ l.147-257, ~ l.444-448 ) Here's how: Right click in the bottom window to select a group of text and choose which mod to use. Do this through the whole file, selecting BCEm for the lines mentioned, and the 'mod' you just made for everything else.
thx man it bloody worked! But i cant make it merge successfuly with any file from this mod http://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/432/? From what ive read its neccessary? Though i also have primer installed and your way works w primer, but not if i also try tweaks mod. Is it actualy needed and if yes could you merge those 3 into 1 mod? or its not needed?
Edit: Eureka! Barebone versions all work w or wo oils! No ws files to merge so it works! just need to merge xmls. Didnt try +icons file since i use better icons+runes icons mods.
Edit 2: Oils version only gives new changes, not sure if old basic creature bonuses still apply, so i stick with no oils version. though it might be i just merged xmls baddly.
Edit 3: Unfortunately even no oils version dont work properly, as razor focus [ercent is 0, ima assuming other things might be messed up as well, so ill just play wo it. if someone can update it for bce updated mod version it would be great.
Edit 4: Ive tried to change some things in xml files to change that damn razor skill, but nothing worked. Can only relly on someone else at this point..
Edit 5: ok ive figured it out! did this:
-modTweaksForBCEBerebonesNoOils(C) & modBCEu(B) Merging gameplay/abilities/geralt_skills.xml gameplay/abilities_plus/geralt_skills.xml lines: select modTweaksForBCEBerebonesNoOils, but select modBCEu for lines 95 - extra 0 in C, B is good 103 - B - Sword Adrenaline Skill will be 10%, otherwise is 0% 250 - Razor Focus will be 50% if B chosen, as in description, otherwise 10%
now both razor/focus skills are working as they should. chose barebone version in the end as oils i couldnt make choises so that base AND new effect would stack, was to lazy to try figure out. Willl just try very interesting oils as they worked iirc and had very similar effect to this. Happy merging everyone!
Hey! Thanks for making this mod, and a couple of questions:
1) I changed all instances of "patch0" to "patch1" in the BCE installer and it seemed to install fine. Does your mod fix anything else, or should I carry on?
2) Should I need to install your mod, can I just install it on top of BCE or should I uninstall that first?

Thank you !
PS : if anyone has an info about how to make it work, would be glad to hear it
Thank you guys
