I did everything, but the game is stuck on "running" and wouldn't launch. I downloaded the one with STLM support, added STLM mod later, made sure it gets top priority, and then nothing happens. What are compatible with this mod? Does it work with COMPILATION?
I agree with Ulvirfaust the instructions in the old UI of the site were quite confusing. I am doing 4th replay with STML again and I love this reshade. It works best with reshade 1.2.something not reshade 2 not reshade 3 but with 1st version and I have amazing VGX lighting in velen just like in the first 25min gameplay released by CD red.
Tried to use the new reshade 3 but the FPS drop is like with 20 FPS down ... sometimes to 30 fps ... using reshade v1 works great.
You really should re-evaluate your installation instructions. I've installed plenty of reshades but this one was a total headache and I could never get it to work. Maybe the instructions are out of date but there is no option to download reshade+sweetfx first off. I looked around and downloaded something off the website called SweetFX but I never expected it to work properly. He mentioned renaming a file that doesn't exist anymore. I realize others may install it fine but the author should assume that everyone installing this is a complete newbie when it comes to rehsades. This might be the best one out there but its pointless if I can't get it to work.
This was built with an older version of Reshade and when click to download I provide links to the old version.
You could copy over the settings to the new version of Reshade I guess if you really want to use the new one.
Don't count on any official update me though anytime soon as I have pretty much left the game behind by now and since the release of EnvUI that simplifies the process of creating actual and proper lighting mods, Reshade presets have played out their purpose for this title.
If you look at the files section there are different main files
One for vanilla lighting One for vanilla lighting + Touissaint One for STLM 3 And a version made with SweetFX (just the colour changes basicially) for vanilla lighting.

If you really want to use this preset, Reshade 1.0 still works and haven't seen anything interesting/groundbreaking being added in later versions.
You could always copy/paste the settings over to Reshade 3.0 yourself.
As in, just injected filters.

Edit: Ok, I see it now. One of the links wasn't updated. But that should be fixed now
