    Weapon/Armor Guide

    Upgrades:

    -Witcher Gear: Can only be obtained through loot/quest rewards.You WON`T get the "Enhanced Diagrams" by dismantling,you have to search for them.

    -Relic Blades: You will get the "Enhanced Diagrams" by dismantling the loot original counterpart of it.All diagram stages above have to be obtained by questing/looting.

    -DLC Armors and Crossbows: You will gain all upgrade diagrams by dismantling each stage.Be aware,that the next upgrade will have a higher lvl.requirement as the parts you are dismantling in that moment.

    -HoS Items: have to be dismantled to get the next stage of the item.You will find NO diagrams or advanced stages of this items.Just buy the first stages of the items from Yoana,and then you can dismantle them for the next stage.Be careful,the next stage has a new lvl.requirement!

    -Infinite upgrades: Some things have infinite upgrades.That means,you can keep those things forever,as you can upgrade and adjust them to your level when you need to.This works by dismantling the item.Integrated in this system are:

    -The last upgrade stage of the complete Kaer Morhen Armor (Legendary)

    -The last upgrade stage of Aerondight/Maugrim (The Legendary Aerondight)

    -My added Scythe (The Grim Reaper:Thanatos)

    -My added Hammer (Mjölnir)

    -Son of Sparda Sword

    -Rebellion

    -Jon Snows Longclaw

    -and all HoS add-on weapons

     

    Shops:

    -The saved Griffin Merchant: He sells you the vanilla temerian armor.

    -The Gwent Card Merchant: The red Baron`s quartermaster will sell you 81 cards right in the beginning of the game.That means,you can play much earlier with other decks than your temerian.Buying those cards will break no quests.When you reach lvl.35/67 NG+,he will begin to sell you all QUEST CARDS.This is for those,that have lost some games or missed the quests somehow.Those of you who wanna do their gwent quests,I suggest not to buy those cards.I`ve never tried,but I could imagine it will break the quests.Please understand,that I can NOT bring a list of what are quest cards and what not,as this are nearly 100 cards or more.Maybe sometime.

    -Yoana @Red Barons quarters: She has the Enhanced Version of the Kaer Morhen Armor,for those who have already selled their starting Kaer Morhen Armor.Also she has Jon Snow`s Longclaw and all HoS items to sell.

    The Red Barons quartermaster: He will sell you the vanilla Nilfgaardian Armor as well as the crossbow.

    -Hattori in Novigrad: He sells you ALL relic Blades in its original form,as well as custom weapons. Custom weapons can be obtained mostly right from the start,if I haven`t added them as quest reward.Relic Blades will show up when you reach lvl.27/50 NG+,quest reward weapons show up when reaching lvl.30/55 NG+.Also I have added Dwimeryte ingots to his inventory,so that you don`t have to travel to skellige everytime.

    -Loan Shark Pawn Shop in Novigrad: He sells ALL through my mod added diagrams for an expensive price.Upgrade diagrams till lvl.2 can be obtained right from the start when meeting him.Stronger/quest added diagrams will show up once on lvl.20/45 NG+,and again on lvl.30/55 NG+.

    -High Class Merchant in Novigrad: He sells you the elven crossbow.

    -Kaer Trolde Armorsmith: He sells you the Undvik Armor.

    -Kaer Trolde Blacksmith: He sells you the Undvik Crossbow.

    -Armor merchant in Novigrad Hierarch square sells Throwing Knives

     

    Upgrade List for all pieces:

    2 upgrade stages:

    Crossbows and every relic blade which isn`t listed in another category.

    3 upgrade stages:

    Vesemirs Blades,Teigr,Nilfgaardian Armor,Undvik Armor,The Emmentaler,Winter Blade,Princess Xenthias Sword,Wolf,Mourner,Lune,Dancer,Silver Wolf,Arainne,Reach of the Damned,Azures Wrath,Tlareg,Negotiator,Loathen and Naevde Seidhe.

    4 upgrade stages:

    Temerian Armor,Kaer Morhen Armor,Tor Lara,Tor Zirael,Aerondight,Dark Wolven Swords,Son of Sparda Sword,Rebellion and all HoS add-on stuff

    Infinite Upgrades (Special Feature)

    I dont know where to buy treasure maps since using your mod:

    All treasure maps (but without the Wolf Gear ones) can be bought from the Book merchant @ the Hierarch square in Novigrad.But now they will cost you real money,not just the 50 gold you spent before for it.This is because they offer you the way to the most powerful items ingame,that shouldn`t be something that you can get by the way without thinking about it.

     

    I see negative amounts of repairing status:

    Use a repairing kit.Once you do that,item will stay forever on 100%

     

    My inventory is too full:

    Mod adds carry weight to money.Go and store your money in the players chest,you can find it in the "others" tab.

    You can also disable the function in TES mod menu

     

    My upgrade has less rune slots than loot original:

    This is because you are using this mod on an existing save.All relic weapons you`ve already found,will stay on vanilla values.Nothing I could do there.

     

    Weapon x/y isn`t lore-friendly,could you please remove it?:

    No,I won`t.If you dont like it,there is a simple solution for that: Dont use this weapon

     

    Known issues(nothing big):

    Imleriths Mace,Caranthirs staff,the Scythe and one Wild hunt axe are clipping into the ground sometimes while using.That can`t be changed simply because the weapon models are too big.The Wild Hunt is just to grown up for Geralt.

     

    Your Mod isn`t compatible with mod xy:

      • If you have to do a manually merge with ScriptMerger,try this:
      • (BCE and Scrabbard mods are just an example)
      • Well it appears as though I have solved the issue.
      • Just FYI if you wanted to know and for anyone else trying to merge BCEv with The Enhancement System (TES):
      • 1. Uninstall relic weapons redone as per Mange's instructions.
      • 2. Run script merger to delete the old mergers and repack the bundle.
      • 3. Run the game and create a fresh save.
      • 4. Install TES using NMM.
      • 5. Run script merger again.
      • 6. The only two conflicting mods that I had to manually merge were "All NPC Scabbards" and BCEv.
      • 6a. In the case of NPC Scabbards, Scabbards was allocated to line A and TES to line B.
      • 6b. Insert line B (TES) into any unresolved conflict. Do not insert any A lines.
      • 7a. In the case of BCEv, vanilla was allocated to line A, BCEv to line B, and TES to line C.
      • 7b. Just like step 6b, insert only TES (C) lines into any unresolved conflict. Do not insert any A or B lines.
      • That's it.
      • Check that TES is working by firstly going to any craftsman and making sure that all the menus are visible. Secondly, dismantle any relic sword and check that the schematic has been added to your list of craftable items.

    Known incompatible mods:

    Most of the E3 Retextures.For compatibility contact those mod Authors,as it is much easier on their side.Ask if you can get textures without binded stats and it will work (if you get some).My optional file without DLCs will solve those issues at least for Wolf School DLC.

     

    My other mod, "The Gwent Card Dealer",as he is already integrated. 

     

    All integrated mods of the version you are using.

     

     When updating from previous version dont forget:

    Delete the old modEnhancementSystem and re-merge your mods properly,otherwise new systems may not work correctly and you report non-existent errors.Please check first if you did everything correctly before reporting an issue,thanks.

     

    Version 2.5 manually merges:

    With 2.5 Preview version,there were a lot of things that came new to the mod.Scripts are one thing of that.As TES already contains a lot of features,there will be a lot of needed merges displayed in Script Merger.Most of them are auto-solvable and you just need to enter.However,if it comes to a manually merge,ALWAYS select the lines from TES window(you`ll know what I mean when it comes to this),save it,exit kdiff and let the merges go on.

    If you have problems with the Installation of TES or Script compilation errors,read this! (Video included)

    -Receive the newest game patch 12.1.TES 2.5 IS ONLY WORKING WITH LATEST GAME PATCH
    -Repair your game/check for issues
    -Download NEWEST Script Merger
    -add your mods and MERGE ALL MODS TOGETHER
    -Test it.If you did everything correct,it should run.But if you screwed something up,or run mods that are integrated/do the same things as my/integrated mods,you have to add your mods one by one,to see what isnt compatible.DONT FORGET TO ALWAYS RE-MERGE ALL YOUR MODS.

      I`ll probably wait a lil bit with that,since its a massive task to update this mod, and the current pc version is pretty borked,so cdpr will probably drop a few more patches. Every patch means you have to update the mod again,or rather me. I dont really want to repeat the process every few weeks,so i guess you have to wait,sorry

    this mod conflicts with the next gen version of the game. made new save to see if this is true. when doing the quest ''In the Eternal Fire's Shadow'' the glyphs and reinalds secret ing is missing, neither can i bargin for more money when doing contracts. my fear is that more key quest items will be missing. a patch or two whould be great.

    Out of curiosity, i'm very out of the loop with the Witcher 3 as a game, and hadn't played since like... 2019, but i'm seeing people talk about the next gen patch and asking when this will be updated, and while i assume thats the version i'm using, I was curious to know which version is the latest that i can actually use in conjunction with this mod? I noticed it worked a bit with the current version of the game, but i'd imagine it's going to break and I plan on removing it from my list, (hopefully it doesn't break my merged scripts or mess with my save...) 

    Either way, the mod looks great and i can only have my fingers crossed for an update in the future.

    Just posting this for anyone who may use this mod: The Undvik crossbow mastercrafted does not display properly in game to fix this you will have to uncook the enhancement system full folder with mod kitchen then find dlc13_items.xml in both items and items_plus they are under dlc,dlc13,gameplay,items then make these edits:

    find <item name="DLC13 Skellige Crossbow2" under the Geralt DLC13 crossbow definitions you will find 2 entries both called <item name="DLC13 Skellige Crossbow2 scroll down to the second entry change it to "DLC13 Skellige Crossbow3" now scroll down a little bit and find DLC13 Skellige Crossbow2_Stats and change it to DLC13 Skellige Crossbow3_Stats then hit save if you don't know how to uncook mod folders then pack them again check out this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Naai3MGHozM. I hope this helps you fix the error

      thanks man - took me a while, but your "fix" didn't just help fix that one issue. Since you posted a detailed description instead of just sharing a modified file, I was able to understand how to approach the issue and fix several similar issues. that wasn't just helpful, that truly was a "teach a man to fish" moment :D

      This is an extremely late reply but you are very welcome. I have updated the mod again and am getting the same issue yet again. I don't blame the mod author for this as mod making is a lot of work and plenty of mistakes can happen. So my own post is going to help me fix it again as it's been ages and I forgot how I fixed it :P

      Again this is a very late reply but the reason I didn't provide the edited files as a download. Is because it isn't my mod and I don't feel right posting it without MANgamez permission. So instead I posted how users could edit it themselves. As of the latest update this is still an issue so I hope others will see this post.

    I am having the same error as the russian guy below me:

    I can't seem to figure it out, have gone back through most posts here and some ppl had success fixing their issue installing AeroHD's 1.30-1.31 Mod Update Project:

    I've gone through script merger multiple times and it hasn't fixed this issue.
    Should I use this? It's pretty old and I'm worried it'd mess some of my newer mods up?

      I need some further informations. 
      Try TES to be your only mod in mod folder, to see if it happens without any other mods.
      If so, try to verify your game files via Gog/Steam.
      Also ensure you own the 16 free dlcs, Hearts of Stone dlc and the game is updated to the newest version.
      Your script errors tell about scripts which are not even included in TES, so I assume the errors come from anywhere else, I (and apparently 99% of users) never had this issue.

      Script Merger is totally fine,its still the Nr.1 tool to solve conflicts in TW3

      I followed all the steps you recommended to no avail. I am on steam, I own the 16 free DLCs, Hos, and BaW. I am using TES - Full and TES - HoS. I removed all other mods from my mod folder and got the same error. I also uninstalled both TES downloads and then uninstalled TW3 from steam. I reinstalled TW3 and confirmed that it did run successfully. I reinstalled both TES Full and HoS (no other mods) and the issue happened again.

      I followed your installation instructions from the main page. For "merging" the bin and dlc folders I simply copied those unzipped files and pasted them into my TW3 local files and replaced and files with the same name. Just wanted to make sure that was done correctly to cover my bases. (Then I did copy the modEnhancementSystemXxx folders into the mods folder).

      I am not using the goty version. I currently only have those 2 TES folders in my mods folder, I'm not going to try to add any other mods back so this issue can be individually addressed. 

      I have no idea if this is helpful but these are the 2 file locations where the actor.ws file (the file referenced in the error message) can be found. The first one says it was last modified when I reinstalled the game. The second file says it was last modified years ago, likely the time when I originally bought the game:

      C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\The Witcher 3\content\content0\scripts\game

      C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\The Witcher 3\WitcherScriptMerger\Tools\wcc_lite\r4data\scripts\game

      If there is any other info I can provide you with more info, lmk

      I seriously dont have any more advice i could give,except for one:

      Delete that whole scriptmerger folder you mentioned in 2, its not part of the game and might contain some colliding scripts. 
      Verify your game files via steam again (i am sure you know how thats done), but if it still wont work, i dunno myself either and hope someone else can help you. Maybe you miss some runtimes, try searching google for "all in one runtimes" and install those

      Holy f*#@ I got my game to launch, followed this random forum posts instructions and my game now launches:

      In the game it's clear that at least parts of TES are working, I have menu options for money, animations, silver sword and steel sword stuff. When talking to a blacksmith and dismantling armor I'm not getting new schematics options for relic swords and armors (except one crossbow does give me schematics). Could this be because I haven't obtained any new relic stuff since installing the mod? Is this an indication something may not be working?

      It has been working all day! I think (I'm like 75% sure) it had to do with this mod:

      Though I believed I installed this^ mod incorrectly and also with an incompatible mod so who knows. I have to reboot my pc after each session I play because it will not launch again until I do.

      So to those having the issue as I described it, the way I fixed it was by starting with TES being the only mod I had installed, following the steps from the guide I linked in my previous post (essentially making small changes to each of the lines of code referenced in the error message), confirming I could launch the game, and then adding additional mods one by one until issues came up, deleting and redoing all script merges between changes.

      Thank you SO much to MANgamez, the author, for directly helping me with this issue. I easily would have given up and never got it working. I am looking forward to spending Hours with this mod :)

      Bug in this mod, not the game... and it does not depend on other mods.
      I'll tell you how to fix it:

      1. Find file:  modEnhancementSystemFull\content\scripts\game\gameplay\effects\effectManager.ws
      2. Find the line 1177 "public final function RemoveAllNonAutoEffects", аnd edit like this:
      public final function RemoveAllNonAutoEffects( optional removeOils : bool, optional skipPerk14 : bool )

      Voila! No need for thank me... all right, you can do it!
