Hello my friends! It's time for first new preview of W3 HDRP NextGen Edition in this year. Today's preview focuses on the largely reworked village of Kaer Trolde on Skellige. You may see a lot of progress I have made over the last weeks/months, including even better quality that I managed to achieve. In addition to the new assets quality, my efforts also include making the entire game visuals more consistent and realistic. To clarify the situation, the official nextgen version of the game (PC, PS5, Xbox series S/X) has implemented HD Reworked Project 12.0 "Ultimate". HDRP Nextgen is a pc-only modification that will be released in 2023 on nexusmods. It will be the culmination of this project, to make The Witcher 3 beautiful gem for a long time. More info soon. I apologize in advance for this comment, but please don't take too long, for the sake of making textures for ugh...Starfield. Having a new W3 texture pack update before or during the Christmas holiday, that would be the ultimate gift.

Welcome my friends. The release of HDRP NextGen edition will be in 2024, more information will be available soon, but I also have a small surprise for you which you will see about in the coming days. ;)
because as you know, The Witcher 3 will get an official mod editor, so you will only know the release date of the final HDRP some time after the release of these tools.
So it means that we need CDPR to release the so called "official mod editor" first and only then will Halk be able to work his magic, is what I get from his message.
Hopefully, HDRP NextGen edition will become available before the game's 10th anniversary which is on May 19th 2025, fingers crossed!

The moment I became aware that there will be a NextGen edition for the essential HD Reworked Project mod, I halted my playthrough right away.
In the meantime I've switched to Skyrim till CDPR decides to release the so called "official mod editor" for Halk to finally begin the work on what promises to be the PS6 level of graphics (detailed and seamless textures with proper LODs) for The Witcher 3!

OK, good to know. It's great that CDPR offers these modding tools. This could really breath additional life into the game, with proper story mods. With AI voice software, we can even get fully voiced characters that sound authentic.
Voice AI is already being used for various mods, including story-based Mass Effect ones - it works well.
Can someone please sticky Lewis' response to this question? Also sticky Gerchan's response to the endless "when will it be released?" questions?
Lewis kindly responds (occasionally someone else), the same two questions, basically every week or two. Can no-one scroll through even a few comments to look and see if their question(s) has be asked/answered previously?
Just downloaded the HD rework mod and replaced both the bin file and mods. However, the selection of Hulk ultra HD doesn't show in the graphics. Does anyone know what's the issue?
@HalkHogan, Please make for Witcher 2, that game needs this type of mod more that Witcher 3. Witcher 3 has beautiful graphics already but Witcher 2 has outdated textures. Witcher 2 is an overlooked gem and it has so few mods, it needs more, it deserves it. Please :(
There already is a texture pack for Witcher 2, which helps a bit. Because of the dated engine, it's not going to look "modern" even with higher resolution textures. IMO Witcher 2 looks fine for what it is, although I found its combat to be very grind-y. The story is very good though.
@Amoch, I know there is a texture pack for W2 but its AI upscaled and it only 20% increase in quality, not a big difference like this mod here. Even if the engine is dated it can support true high quality textures. For me W2 has better story, characters and better story battles than W3, I have finished W2 four times, W3 only one time because its masive and a little boring.
