Sorry to post here after such a long time after publishing this mod, but I'm having an issue: When I start up the game, the Reshade compiling fails. A message in red is permanently in the top left of the screen saying something along the lines of:
bin\SweetFX\Shaders\SMAA.h (665, 9) error X3019 if statement conditional expressions must evaluate to a scalar
I had a look in the shaders folder for an SMAA.h file, opened it in notepad++, scrolled down to line 665 and there's nothing there. So I guess I'm probably reading the error wrong.
I followed the instructions provided in the description (including turning off ubersampling and AA) and even tried the older version of the sweetfx profile, which actually showed even more errors.
Is there something I'm doing wrong? Something else I need to download? Thanks in advance
A quick search on google suggests deactivating the SMAA module would fix the issue. That's because the script is programmed badly (there is an "if" statement that needs programming that works). You could also try to use newer sweetfx libraries, maybe the problem has been addressed in these.
Alternatively you could dive in the code and search and fix the issue yourself and let me know how you did it. I will update the sweetfx libraries in the near future though.
Same here, I just tested it after having thought it was on when it wasn't. You can get rid of it by meditation, but it always comes back.
FIX:
1.) Go to the website of sweetfx: http://reshade.me/sweetfx 2.) Download newest version of sweetfx. 3.) Extract to a folder 4.) Run the setup and chose the witcher2.exe 5.) Execute the program and it will ask you if you want to overwrite the installation of the files of this reshade. 6.) Select Yes 7.) Enjoy a game better mechanically than Witcher 3
If you have any questions please message me because chances are I will never visit this mod forum again. o.o;;
8.) The game also has better music than Witcher 3.
Nice work as it seems that you have gotten rid of the dithering at the edge of the shadows. As Im using a gtx 980 it looks great without any mods but I will tell my friends about this.
