Got this working on Enhanced Edition by dropping the files and then replacing the definition for "Roche Commando Jacket" on the armors file (CookedPC\items\def_item_armor.xml) with the one provided by the mod (CookedPC\game\dlc\roche_jacket\roche_jacket.xml).
Never had a problem before with the mod (always worked a treat) but after installing FRC2.0 its no longer working. I've had a look for the "Roche Commando Jacket" definition in the amor.xml file but it doesn't exist.
MetalTxus's mention of the armor.xml file got me curious as nothing I did could make my hood disappear. Because as TTR0uBlE mentioned there doesn't seem to be an armor.xml file. If you don't have an armor.xml file, download that hoodless kayran armor mod which actually has this file. Follow the instructions given in the hoodless blue stripes mod to place all of the files in the zip. Then take the armor.xml from the kayran folder and put it in CookedPC\items. Fixed my issue right away. Maybe this mod needs the armor.xml file added to it?
If the armor is missing in 'def_item_armor.xml' , add the contents of 'roche_jacket.xml' (starting from the 'Q10' line) after finding the part below.
In detail: First, find the part below in 'def_item_armor.xml' #Q9
<tags>Jacket,SortTypeArmor,Armor,TypeRare,Dismantle</tags> <bound_items>
belt_3
</bound_items> <base_abilities> Shiadhal Armor _Stats Weight_19 </base_abilities> <ingredients_list crafted_item=""> <ingredient quantity="1">Leather</ingredient> <ingredient quantity="1">Cloth</ingredient> </ingredients_list>
Then copy the bit from the mod after this, so the final version should look like:
Appears as though this mod doesnt work for Enhanced Edition. I'm thinking it has something to do with them merging the DLC gear into the game, thus the folder Game/DLC doesn't actually work for mods anymore =(
on that note, if someone could get this working and match the mage's trousers and worn leather boots to the jacket, it would amazing!
Excellent mod. Finally I got rid of that horrible hood from my first epic armor. If you could change the icon for gloves (to match the blue color) it would be great. Endorsed.
Thanks for writing that guide, dragonbird. Normally, I'd whip up a compatibility mod or some such, but when the alterations needed are so minuscule, this is definitely preferable, just like you explained.
I've been talking to Kindo, and I think I know now why there's an incompatibility. Give me around 24 hours and if I'm right, I should be able to advise how to have both mods present.
I haven't been able to find the reason for the conflict, as the listed files for CEO don't include roche_jacket.xml. So if you can see a solution, it's fine by me, as long as you follow Kindo's redistribution wishes and don't redistribute my texture files ">

Dont copy from here because lines and spaces will shift, copy from the mod.
It worked for me this way. Also you need notepad++ to do any of this.

yes, please! I want that badly. I have CEO and this mod does nothing :/
