    Hi -

First want to say THANKS for taking the time to share this.

I have a quick question or two. First, I thought the game had xbox 360/PC controller support built-in. I'm guessing that the xpadder implementation has the bonus of, as you've described, far more "modes" via the swapping between the 1/2<->3/4 that you've architected, e.g. and that is a big improvement over typical controller implementations for sure. (btw - I own the game but have not yet started it.. lol.. I have xPadder my heavy Mass Effect experience where I prefer controller to keyboard as well). Anyway - one thing that I noticed, at least in the version of xpadder that I am familiar with, is that, like typical WASD keyboard - all the control is binary, i.e. on/off... while with my controller in, say DragonAge or whatever, the position of the stick controlled speed of my walking for instance, whereas with keyboard it was just walking/not-walking... no speed control other than to add "running" to the mix via shift/space or whatever... does this make sense? (I mean the way I word my question - sometimes I am uncertain of the effectiveness of my wording lol). In ME3, using xpadder, the stick just served to turn walk on/off, just like the W key would... it's range of motion was not a factor for walking iirc. basically, the "analog" feel of the controller where sticks are concerned is not emulated so well in my xpadder experiences (again, on/off...).Is the rate at which keypresses are sent varied based upon the stick's position perhaps? I.e. the typematic setting or whatever it is called...?Apologies for not being more articulate with the question lol.. and again - Many thanks for being a contributor. thebunnyrules is a rockin name, btw. ;-)

EDIT: Apologies for my confusion... I was looking at a Witcher3 mod and clicked a link to your mod - turns out this is for Witcher (1?) and potentially not for Witcher3 at all.. althought of course xpadder would be fine regardless... just wanted to explain that when I made the post I was thinking Witcher3, confused as I was. Perhaps Witcher1 did not have controller support then.

No worries, bro. Yeah they only introduced controller support in TW2 when CD Projekt Red made their vastly superior game engine to the Bioware Engine they use in TW1. TW1 is based on Bioware's Aurora Engine (2002) which was already ancient (in PC gaming terms) at the time they made TW1 in 2007, so no KB support. Not that Bioware's Engies supported controller even as late as ME4 in 2011 which is ridiculous (that's the last time they used their own Engines, I think).

If you haven't played the first two witcher's I would highly recommend you play through them first b4 tw3, just to get the story, lore etc. It will help you appreciate TW3 even more. TW1 gameplay/graphic are a bit dated but the story is fantastic, the voice acting is spot on and clever, the lore is rich, the game was made with alot of love. There a nice overhaul of the textures that was put up here on nexus and I'll be putting up a sweetFX profile that overhauls the lighting and colors.
