Hi I noticed that, in the description tab, it says Version 2.2.3. of this Custom Sound track should download Version 2.0.4 zip file at the file sharing site. However, when I click Vortex install on the Version 2.2.3 Errror Check XML mod (essentially the main mod at this mod page) a dialog box pops up to remind me to download what I assume is the [more correct] Version 2.2.3 zip file at the same file sharing site. This is a tiny bit confusing. Which is it?
So I downloaded the 2.2.3 zip file and I activated both this mod (2.2.3 xml) and the 2.2.3 zip files in Vortex. There was 4 files conflict. I assume that's why this mod is called a "error check"? I have two choices here to try. Either resolve the conflict by ordering Vortex to load the zip files first, then load this mod (so that Error Check XML) over-write the 4 conflicting files from the zip file. Or try the other way around.
May I ask why both the mod and the zipfile have these 4 conflicting files? What's the story behind them?
Thanks for the mod mate! Really good picks you made!
One sidenote though: "Is alone - john murphy". That's the wrong title/artist. Originally it's "The sad Mafioso" by "Godspeed You Black Emperor". Just for the record :-)
I really wish SoD modding wasnt quite as dead as it is because mods like this make it worth coming back to in full force. I love almost every track and most of them fit with even vanilla SoD so well.
Very well done.I hope you know your efforts are appreciated by the modding community, even if we're not so good at showing it all the time.
I tried this for about an hour and I'm split. On one hand the music was totally fitting and I loved the variety. It made the game feel much fresher and I settled in for a nice long new SoD experience. On the other hand it didn't seem like the music ever stopped. It's like the soundtrack just kept playing all the time, no matter what I was doing. A couple of times I even got amped-up chase music lasting for several minutes past the point at which I'd stopped fighting and gone on to do something else, like walk through a house.
I love the soundtrack, but it would be great if there was a way to adjust how frequently it plays. The music is a great replacement, but the game's original score doesn't play basically non-stop.
EDIT: I mistakenly installed the off-site soundtrack while forgetting the XML file provided here. This seems to have fixed the problem with music playing basically all the time and, more importantly, playing at inappropriate times (danger music staying on while just wandering around). Granted, the music still plays a lot - there's rarely any silence in the game now - but it's not as bad or out of place as it was before, and I find myself quickly getting used to it.

Good mod. Endorsed, and thanks for the work.
