Interesting, I will try it. Only once in all my games did I reach year 3 and the reason was the ridiculous amount of money I got, which discouraged me from continuing to play, I hope your mod changes the facts. Do these changes include what was added in 1.4?

I patched this one myself, if you're interested: http://community.playstarbound.com/threads/mod-request-price-re-balancing.134992/#post-3187893

This is for Stardew Valley 1.2.

I'm 95 hours into a new game I made with this mod active. I use a lot of other mods too to make it a little less difficult. But no mods that really make the game unfair.

I'm in Fall year 2 and still poor as shit. I've finished the community center and just got a horse like an hour ago. I've found that it's pretty fun this way, even though some stuff is insanely difficult to craft. Mainly the things that use iridium.

I like the mod a lot. The only thing I would change is lowering the cost of the highest end stuff a little. Not down to vanilla levels. But a bit less extreme.

Oh yeah. All my tools are still iron, except my pickaxe, which is gold so I can mine iridium. I put most of my money/effort towards finishing the community center before upgrading everything, or even getting a horse. But my horse is a chocobo.

Hey! I have been using this mod for my current play-through and really loving it. By the start of Fall Year 1 I only had 2 copper tools, roughly 15k on hand (Severe saving and fishing through summer for big fall profits), then something hit me. I am makign this a second post so it becomes more visible in case anyone else who has used this mod can answer my questions.

    https://www.reddit.com/r/StardewValley/comments/4d1ax6/grange_display_demystified/

This person wrote up an entire guide on how to maximize your points for the Fall Festival, seemingly easy when you look at it but the values made me question something.
TLDR one of the requirements to obtain more points is items need to have a certain gold value; i.e. Gold-Over 200, Silver-Over 300, Normal-Over 400. This applies to all the categories which have items with stars being possible.

Will the reduced item prices with this mod cause me to score low on the festival if I don't manage to somehow get items that meet this requirement? Or does the mod already cover that with it's own values?

If not I suppose the only guaranteed method of scoring like vanilla is to disable this mode after day 12 ends, and replace with vanilla files for the festival day. I have never actually played through the Festival so most everything at this part of the game is newer territory.

I got first place in it on year 2 with this mod. Just FYI. In year 1 I got 2nd place. Just be sure to use high value things. And a lot of diversity in the types of items you put on display.

Will try that out I think I simply LOVED the first year o the game but then I hardly felt any reason to continue so I kinda ended up playing Story of Seasons again - which while not being incredibly hard is still a lot more work than Stardey Valley, sadly.
