I am trying my best to find time to batch update a bunch of mods to 1.6
I don't know what's broken yet though... I know, I'm sorry! I'll get to it as soon as I can. I am also moving. And I can't find my notebook with all my little hints and guides I use for modding so that's been difficult... I promise I will update as soon as I can!
In the mean time any sort of description of what isn't working would be much appreciated! Like does it not load at all? Is it replacing the texture but it isn't animating? That kind of stuff would be very helpful for diagnosing the issue, thanks!
Probably. If that mod replaces the water sparkles too then no. But I don’t think it does so they should work. I would suggest just trying them both and see what happens. Always backup your save before doing this kind of stuff.
You are awesome, Bob! Thank you! I didn't even know I needed this. I didn't realize how many panning spots there are. I almost never see them at all! I thought the pan was about the most useless tool in the game!
Great mod, but sometimes not working. The panning spots still keep the vanilla image with this mod loaded, but restart the game can solve it. SMAPI reported no problems. Can you check it?
I'm sorry that you had to fiddle with it like that. I'm a little unclear on exactly what went wrong... It seems like maybe you had the game open while you downloaded my mod? The game has to be completely exited all the way back to desktop before installing any mods.
I just doubled checked my code and there's no reason it wouldn't work 100% of the time. If you are experiencing this problem repeatedly I would be interested to know how that could happen. Do you have to restart the game every time to get the mod to work? Please let me know!
Thanks! I guessed my better panning mod caused this problem. I tried many times, some spot position can work well with your mod, but it might won't work on spot spawned by better panning mod.
Both this mod, & Red Artifact Digspot Worms need more pictures added to show off the differences your mods are giving here. Especially when you say its configurable - but we cant see what the other options may be like.
When I uploaded Red Artifact Digspots I didn't yet know that making the thumbnail a gif was allowed because it explicitly says uploading animated gifs is against the rules. There is a way around it, but it is fairly time consuming to do correctly. The 4 frames of the before and after for the worms wiggling are displayed in the image. I figured a before and after image would be sufficient to tell what was changed. How would you have conveyed what had changed, if not a before and after image?
For this mod, the config gives the option of removing the sparkling gold bits in the pan as stated in the description "Appearance configurable! Check the config.json to remove the sparkling gold from the pan!". I have avoided including extraneous gifs because that is what the rules of Nexus state. Reading the description will tell you what the config does, it "removes the sparkling gold from the pan". I did not think that it was necessary to bog down Nexus's servers with extra gifs when a simple sentence would suffice.
Thanks again for you input and I will take that in consideration when uploading further mods.
The mod is very useful, of course, for players like me who struggle wtih eyesight issues. I'm stunned at how many panning spots spawn up that I never see. Startled by the ones that spawn where they cannot be reached. I never looked for them at night because I assumed they didn't spawn at night--I haven't seen any at all....
But most of all, this is a very pretty addition to the game!

You don't know how many times I am *this* close to CTD because I heard the water plonk sound but no sparkles in sight.
And combined with Better Panning, it makes panning actually fun and profitable!
