Hi, i think there's a bug with Heavy Furnaces and Geode Crushers at the moment, as they work a few days ago but now not anymore, i checked and still have plenty coal as well as ores (Geode for Geode crusher too) left but they dont get drawn from the chest (using big chest from robin atm). If you have time, could you please look into it? I will update if anything else fails, but sofar only those 2. Tree picking, dehydrator and smokers are working as intended.
I'm just adding to make it clearer: no crashing nothing, it just doesnt draw item out of the chest anymore ( Crystalarium works fine while pushing item back to chest) and if i put the material in manually, it works and push back to the chest fine, but doesnt autodraw anymore after that.

It seems you told Automate not to take items from the chest. You can edit the chest again through Chests Anywhere, and set the dropdowns back to these values to fix it:
I am really not sure if the problem is Automate or another mod, but: When I use Furnaces to make any kind of bars, the ore itself isn't used up, only the coal. I mean, sure, it's nicer for me, but it's weird anyway. Just wanted to mention it, if anybody else got that "problem".
Just a quick question: does the 0.5% chance of getting 'Ancient Seeds' with the 'Seed Maker' still exist when using 'Automate'? I assume so, but I haven't been lucky enough to get any Ancient Seeds after quite a few tries.It's just a question, maybe I was just unlucky. Otherwise, the mod is excellent.
Yep. For most machines (including the seed maker), Automate just triggers the normal game code, so all the normal rules apply.
That said, 0.5% is pretty rare (about once every 200 tries) and seed maker output is linked to the time of day (so pausing time with mods will make them always produce the same item).
Hey, I'm new to modding and I just installed the newest version of smapi. Now I can't find automate in the mod config menu. Any ideas why that would happen?
Hi there, not sure if anyone has reported this before but since 1.6 allows Robin to build on land other than the farm I now have buildings on several modded sites (Summit Farm from Ridgeside village, Grampleton Fields from SVE etc) but have found that Automate won't pull Hay from chests into silos into these locations as it does on the main farm.
I have this problem too, automate is only working halfway in my pig barns on the other farms, but otherwise nothing works either outside or in a building.

@celticwench29 That sounds like a different issue, if it affects any machines besides the silo or feed hopper. Which specific machines aren't working for you? Do they work if you temporarily remove all mods except Automate?
There was a change in 2.1 or 2.2 that isn't mentioned in the change logs, and I'm not sure which action is supposed to be the correct one.
Previously, I could put an item in a chest, and while the chest was open Automate would start working (for example, drop 5 parsnips in a chest connected to a seed maker, watch while the parsnips were pulled out, made into seeds and dropped back in) I used this functionality to make sure that I didn't make too many seeds.
Now in 2.2.0 I have to close the chest and it only moves the items once the chest is closed, if I reopen the chest, the movement stops.
I'm not sure which functionality was intended, so I wanted to mention this in case it was a bug. If it's intended/a bug fix then just ignore!
Hi! It's this change in Automate 2.1.0's release notes: I could possibly add an option to disable that safety measure, though there's a risk of losing items if you add/remove an item at the same time Automate does.

I have removed all the mods, they have earned, tell me, what should I do now? How do I understand which mod the Automate mod conflicts with? How to find out which mod to remove
You have Altro's Blacksmithing Overhaul, which lets you get rings from some geodes. However the game's geode crusher doesn't currently support that (until the upcoming Stardew Valley 1.6.9), so it fails when it tries to produce one.
I'll release Automate 2.2.2 later today with improved error-handling, so that won't break other machines when it happens. Thanks for reporting it!
