Hi, I love your mod and just because I suck at modding I wonder if you could replace armor (any) by Mysterio. ^^ And sorry for my bad English because I'm not English
HI, great mod and thanks for it. I'm trying to mod some outfits for SoT myself but I can't seem to get into .gfx files. What program did you use to get in there? thanks
.GFX is Autodesk Scaleform Gfx. Similar to .swf files, but not quite. Basically, you can change file header from CFX to CWS or from GFX to FWS, change file extension to .SWF and view them. Editing resulting .SWFs is tricky and requires several additional tools. Forum thread: http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/1488098-modding-info/
Request Fix.I have issue with Mage's Robe. The robe does not change color.Only your pants and Shirt inside your robe. Can you please add a fix.Making the Pants and s#*! One mesh an the robe the Primary color please? An no im not a programer so yes.I request help.It would be useful.
Not to add even more questions/requests to the topic but is it possible to replace the attack sounds for the wooden weapons with metallic ones instead? That way they at least sound like they're word using. I'm mostly asking just for the wooden swords, since I'd like to replace some of them with like Stan's sword and maybe Randy's sword just for variety with lower levels.
Thanks for the tip, and all your other help. It's greatly appreciated. I'm used to modding games like Skyrim, Oblivion, Fallout3/NV, or Unreal engine games. Modding for this one is a unique experience, especially without any type of official tools or SDK to work with. I believe I got the sounds swapped out in the XML now for the wooden ones. I swapped Stan's sword and one other for the wooden one and another low level sword. Stan's sword has a messed up regular attack (left click) which I'm sure relates to the GFX file having specifics for animations for that sword on its normal slot and not a single handed slot but I can live with that for now lol.
What I'm really wanting to do now, is figure out how to get that special glow effect applied to certain weapons from the Mage's headbands / Necromancer Hood to either be on a level 1 item that's easy to replace, or to just replace the effect for one of the different enchantments like Electricity or Frost. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, since I'm still learning this stuff and never did get into modding Dungeon Siege to be able to understand some of the modding Stick of Truth requires. Thanks so much for all you've done already for me, it's helped out greatly.
Really wish these things were named better. I can't find anything that might be the Du Rag or Sweaty Headband. There's a mstr_hat_yellowband, maybe that's the sweaty one? I don't see anything that would be close to a Du Rag though.
It's nice seeing someone taking the time to learn the modding it takes to work with this game's files. Been trying to figure out the files myself, swapped some items around with each other for personal reasons, but I'm still trying to figure some stuff out like where it stores the information for actual item usage. Please keep up the work with your mods, I'd love to see some released that replace other sets with interesting outfits or .gfx files that unlock items and dyes that normally can't be used. Really wanting Clyde's dark lord crown/helmet to be useable as well but I can't find the damn file for it. I know it's in there, since he sits on the sidelines of the fight, he has to have a head file for the item.
Also wanting to find a way to edit the effects that weapons have, to give the blue glow the mage items/necromancer hood gives to weapons onto something you can get at the beginning as level 1 or 2, for any class, so the blue glow can be used more often. Any ideas how I could get that done, or do you think you could do it?
Clyde's dark lord crown is /gui/mstr_hat_clyde_clone.gfx
Glow effects are either hidden inside .OGD files, or being applied corresponding to augments/patches item has on. Augments data surely are stored in .OGDs.
Any suggestion on which hat would be a good one to replace? I noticed that when replacing items, if the item types don't match correctly you'll get missing hair or clipping items. Tried replacing a hood with a head band for testing, and ended up with half a head and missing hair lol. Trial and error I guess.
I'd suggest to replace Du Rag or Sweaty Headband. Both of them are lvl 1, they squash hair (Fro Wig is helpful for checking such things) and are easy to obtain. Also Clyde's Crown is basically an altered headband.
