I really wish the configurations could be done through MCM instead. The dialogue options are jank and sometimes don't work, like it sometimes doesn't even appear.
The barding does not stick to my horse, i can select / equip it but it will revert back to the vanilla saddle after mounting. I also had Lydia go buy a horse after hers was killed, now when doing the horse call Lydia spawns 2 horses.
There's no horse altering mods installed afaik, if there is it's hidden inside something non obvious. For followers it's just NFF.
After posting this I found out that Nether's Follower Framework is overruling the horse barding somehow. (I didn't know it had a horse bit, I was used to AFT when I last played Skyrim years ago) I tried disabling the horse part for that mod but that doesn't seem to be working. I do believe it's an issue with NFF and not CH though.
I would like the essential horses option back, follower horses keep getting killed because the AI be like 'this is fine' when getting attacked and not dismounting.
are you using papyrus tweaks and do you have "bSpeedUpNativeCalls = true" set in the ini? If so..followers don't seem to dismount with CH and you can add "GetSitState" to "sScriptMethodPrefixesToExclude =" in the same ini. See page 14 in this forum for more. At some point this seems to have fixed itself. Either by other mods that I added or some setting finally getting initialized .. This might have also been an issue with NFF and linked to the problem I'm having with horse barding.
Chances are, you have another follower framwork that is preventing you from doing this. Typically ones that allow you more than one follower. Removing any follower framework should resolve the issue
how do i get this to work on version 1.5.97? i bought the aniversary edition and installed both the main file and the special edition patch, as 2 different mods btw, no merge nor replacing. does this mod not work with the anniversary edition horses?
- Serana no longer summons Alsvid for some reason and I'm looking for any way to troubleshoot this. Tried cleaning with xedit, reinstalling both this, SDA and the patches as well as rearrange the load order but to no avail. Any pointers will be of great help.
- The Dx Emfy Cleric outfit comes with a unique horse with barding and I intend to give both to my follower. Killed her previous horse and I tried to setownership but it just doesn't recognize for my follower. However for the player I can easily take ownership of the horse and the mod recognizes its original barding as well. Could use a patch.
