Im playing on the nolvus mod list and im in neutral stance and have the stone equipped but still nothing. My character just swings the staff around but no magic
When using Nolvus in order to get eh magic to work you have to be using the the "4" stance. 1-3 will use it as a Warhammer. Also best if you use the lock on (target) so you can hit what you are aiming at. * Optional: In "True Directional Movement" under Target Lock, select homing for magic.
Can anyone help me make this work ? I am using Nolvus, i have all the required animations, i just crafted the Iron one at a forge, but i'm just getting regular warhammer animations? How do i make it shoot spells ?
If you read on the mod page, https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/94748, you need the "stone of the fade". The benefit of making your own modlist is that you know how stuff works.
When using Nolvus, you have to use the stance system. 1-3 are the normal stance attacks, 4 is for the magical attacks. And of course you will need one of the "Stones of Fade". * Also to note: they have a Discord you could have asked on there.
I’m not sure that you need my advice and whether you will change anything, but I’ll speak out anyway. I like this mod, but there are a few problems. It seems to me that the staff should be made thinner and longer, the blade should be made the same length for each type and the top of the staff should be made smaller, otherwise it will look more like a mace with a dagger on the handle. Well, it would be nice to change the mount behind the back
Do you think it would be possible to make a version that is one handed? It would be so cool to use this and a sword in the off-hand to play as a knight enchanter.
I'm having a few issues. I don't have a crosshair at all when using the bladestaff, and only the bladestaff, which makes targeting enemies a little difficult. It also uses stamina instead of magic, which seems to be incorrect behavior. I am using Nolvus for all the mods and such, so not sure what could be the issue if anyone has an answer.
Similar to archery in Nolvus, these seem to be intended for use with the lock-on feature/keybind. The blasts from the Bladestaff (as well as the right-click rapid-fire shots from the bow) will auto-aim at the target you are locked onto. In the case of the bladestaff, the attacks become homing!
This put me off from using them until I started messing around with lock-on targeting. Now I love them both!
I would encourage folks to play around with the various features of Nolvus as they are all designed to work together in many cases. That's where the fun is! =)
Press your middle mouse button to lock on to the target (you might need to move the mouse a little to get the correct target if they're in a group) and then use. It should send the magic to the correct place. For the crosshair go into your MCM and activate it in the True Directional Movement mod.
