I'm no longer updating this mod because I don't have it installed anymore (since I made this mod, time has passed and I have completely changed my modlist). Black faces on all NPCs. Face Discoloration Fix works but I would still not recommend this anymore because many NPCs aren't covered by this mod. I used to use ApachiiSkyHair NPC Overhaul (which hasn't been updated since 2012 and used female hair for men) back in the dark ages but now I recommend Buggy NPC Replacer - KS Hairdos. It also requires the Face Discoloration Fix but it covers all NPCs and unlike "KSHair For All Vanilla NPCs" it does not bundle the fucking hair, so you won't download or install two copies of the same hair if you also want to use such hair on your player character.
Followed the installation instructions to the letter but still got black faces bug. Some npcs were fine and others not. I suppose it's due to this mod no longer being maintained.
Fyi, I did try installing the Meshes and Textures - Black Face Bug Fix but it didn't resolve it. Reverted it since didn't like the fact that it overwritten some files from another mod. Installing the Face Discoloration Fix resolve the black faces without using the Meshes and Textures - Black Face Bug Fix.
It's been a very long time since I've messed around with mods so I honestly don't know for sure... You can try for sure, but I don't know what risk you're taking there in theory it should work since this doesn't modify anything about the body, but then again it's skyrim so it's about 50/50. If you want to take the risk, be sure to post your findings here

This only changes NPC hair to use Apachii hair? not there actual faces? When I went to install the fix I got impression it was gona over all faces in the game, I already have better textures and models for all females/males and children. only want NPC hair change nothing else about the faces
This only changes the hair but because you can't export only the hair (the facegen data which contains everything from the tint of skin to hairstyle is exported) this can cause issues when you have other mods installed that change things about the faces. But theoretically this should only change the NPC's hairstyles if you make sure your other face mods are loaded after this one
Found a fix (ish) on nexus forums discussing the black face bug, they talk about messing around with the Creation Kit (my eyes glazed) But one of the posters on there mentioned you can individually set the npc weight to a colour closer to or back to original for each npc that has the issue. Basically open the console, click the affected NPC and type: setnpcweight 35 I know it's tedious to do for each npc, for me it's not many of them so i just . To quote the posters fix

i havent test it with the facegen optional files, but without them - using only the plugin - i also have black faces bug. also, like some other wrote too, some hair styles (like ralof's) are quite a bit odd. okay, long hair, i like them.. but ralof has really so long hair, not even a female has so long.
I think I had WICO installed when I made this so I assume (but honestly I can't really remember since it has been a long time since I played with my mod) that either WICO or UNP (which wico was based on) would be necessary to have the right meshes... But all I can say with certainty at this point is: try it and if it doesn't work uninstall

Hi there just a question does Ralof have really long hair with this mod or am i having some mod conflit? If it is the mod, why?xD he looks gorgeous with that rapunzel hair
No conflict, that's just his hair :) and in vanilla he already has rather long hair, so this was the best looking option that came close to the original Ralof ;)
Does the Black Face Bugfix mod you have only work with this particular mod? Since this is not being updated anymore, but the Apachii mod is. I had the black face mod with a few other attempts with Apachii Sky Hair mods, and if this works with them, it would be great.
I don't think it would work with other mods, but I haven't modded in quite a while now so I'm honestly not even sure anymore I'd say give it a shot, but lower your expectations

Try this mod Face Discoloration Fix. It did the trick for me. No more black faces.

Can you tell me why UNP Renewal Is required for this mod? I don't understand that....
