EDIT: There is a minor update which just copies more race description changes from USSEP, and a second option which is additionally an esl-flagged plugin. These versions have been tested with AE and have been uploaded. The esl flagged plugin is the main file to save an esp slot, but you can use either the main file (1.03e esl-flagged) or the optional file (1.03 esp). There shouldn't be any issues with using version 1.02 of the plugin with AE or SE if you have prevented the exe from updating to AE, though.
There is now an optional version designed specifically for Imperious; use it instead of the main file if you have Imperious.
Visible 1st Person Gear allows you to see what you already have. If you have a mod which adds new items such as Left Hand Rings Modified SE ( https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/3240 ) that you should be able to see when you are in first person, and you have one of those new items equipped on your character, then you should be able to see it when you are in first person, provided that item's slot is covered by the mod. It covers all of the viable addition slot options that I am aware of, with the exception of slot 40, the tail slot, which can bug out. If you do NOT have such a mod installed, then there will be nothing new to see. Please note, if you do use Left Hand Rings Modified SE, do not choose the optional 1st person view that it provides as it does not allow as many additional slot options as Visible 1st Person Gear and, depending on load order, may override the racial edits that V1PG provides.
Again, you MUST have another mod which adds new items. This mod does not add any new items, it just changes the race record so that you can see them.
If you are using a race mod which does not include these changes (I set the permissions for race mod authors to use at will, essentially), then just open both this mod and the race mod in xEdit and either copy these changes over into the race mod by dragging and dropping the section that includes what slots are visible within the race records, or create a patch which includes the changes from both files. Compatibility wise, it would probably be better to go with the first option, but you will have to do this again if the author updates their mod. Also, if you merge the changes into the race record, then you can safely disable or uninstall this mod with no side effects.
Hey author, you may want to check/update the slot 44(mask slot) removed version in the optional files. I tried that patch to fix tribunal masks of immersive armors, but it didn't work. And I found in SSEedit that slot 44 is still in First Person Flags in that esp. I tried removing the slot 44 manually in SSEedit and it's fixed.
Hello, I would like to edit my race to make slot 58 visible, but im not sure how to do it with SSEE, does any one know how? The mod is working perfectly fine as is, I can also manually remove slots such as slot 44 (mask) but i cant edit new ones in.
*EDIT* I figured it out, you have to edit the First Person Flags under .esp itself
I assume you mean the claws available from the Apachii Divine Elegance Store (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/9213) mod. Per the mod's description, the claws and nails are both slot 60, which V1PG (and V1PIG) make visible in first person. If there are no conflicting mods, then V1PG should be allowing you to see them in first person. Would you be willing to share your load order for troubleshooting purposes?
It would be way too long. I just saw with another earring mod and the left earring shares the same slot as the claws. And the slot is number 55. Can you add a patch for Apachii Divine Elegance Store by adding slot 55 please? With an ESL and ESP version as you did with the other patches. I think it's not bad like that. It allows you to see the ring on the right and the ring on the left on the hands while having the claws visible.
Hello, bad news. Claws do not show even with slot 55 add. Either you have to see for yourself what may be causing the problem by downloading the Apachii Divine Elegance Store mod or ask the author directly what could be the problem. I'll ask him hoping he answers the post.
I'm not really partial to downloading a mod that's over a gig and a half that I'm not planning to use. Are you using Joy of Perspective or any of the Apachii's Joy of Perspective patches? From my understanding of Joy of Perspective, it forces items to show in "first person" by making everything actually work in third person, so it wouldn't matter what slots are set as available in first person.
Are you using any sort of race mod at all? Anything that changes default abilities or heights or anything? That's still the most likely issue, I think.
Regarding races no, but I have a mod that changes the size of the character and at the same time adjusts the actual height of what the character sees in first person. The height difference between third and first person height bothers me a lot. Mod is https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/14515 If that's really the issue, is there another mod that adjusts first person height and other race height without impacting your mod?
I removed the mod, but it doesn't change anything into the game. Even with a new game nothing. So that's not the problem. Edit : The problem was with the load order. The author had made a patch for the first person and loading it last it now works. Sorry for the inconvenience, never would I have thought that was the problem.
Immersive Jewelry has directions on how to make the rings swap to a left handed version, which only works if you have SKSE installed and running. If you can swap to the left hand version and see it while you are in third person but it's not visible once you are in first person, then this mod (V1PG) is not taking effect, which means you probably have a load order issue. You could try posting it here in order for help with identifying what it is conflicting with, though a race mod would be the first suspect.
I don't mean to necro this post but I am having the same issue. I use Imperious and have a patch made, and even have it at bottom of load order and am unable to see rings in 1st person.
I also have Immersive Jewelry and the same problem so I can answer this. Jewelry is visible in the 3rd person but not in the 1st person. I have tried to reequip them but sadly changed nothing. Since this seems to be race-related, I have Imperious installed, no specific patch for those three mods and play nord. Don't know if this helps in identifying the issue.
I've contacted EnaiSiaion for permission to add a compatibility patch for Imperious and received it, and I've already tested it with both Imperious and Immersive Jewelry. So long as the ring is right-clicked in the inventory to make it into the left hand ring version, it works without any issues. I will be uploading it shortly. Actually, Immersive Jewelry makes no changes to race records at all, so barring a race changing mod being added to the mix, Visible 1st Person Gear and Immersive Jewelry should work together out of the box.
Rebuilding my Skyrim SE mod build and now this mod does not work at all. Is there some dependancy that it had that i have forgotten? I can no longer see or use the power that let allowed me to turn the mod on and off.
i hope you can help me as its one fo my favorite mods
Okey, so I just downloaded and it works with base races, but since my character is a custom race (added by other mod), I tried destroying something on SSEEdit..... Just finished, the only thing I actually did was to copy the record from the custom race mod into this mod, and add the same thing it had on the base races. So, I hope it works. If it does, then it took me a little more than 5 minutes, but that's cause I had not idea what I was doing, so it was try till it had the same changes this mod causes on the base races.... So, gonna try it know, and nice mod, I really like it, since being able to see the left ring on 1st person is a MUST for my character, cause she fights unarmed, and the rings looks really nice when you don't have any weapon nor armor
Edit: It worked! I love u bro/sis, thanks a lot for the mod, and thanks too for helping me understand how SSEEdit works. I had a couple mods that didn't work with custom races, and know I thing a got a glimpse of how to patch that
Edit2: Yeah, somtimes I mess up with verbal tenses, but doesn't matter, I'm happy this worked, and happy I learned something so usefull. So thanks again!
Glad to hear you were able to get it working with the custom race mod you're using, and that the description was able to steer you in the right direction. If you have more questions about using SSEEdit, Tome of xEdit is the official documentation for it and has a lot of useful information.
Is this anyway to have this work properly with enhanced first person camera do i need to patch or is it just a load order issue? *Edit* The issue was in fact imperious and not the camera mod i didnt have the issue proir due to the load order and it being reorganized when I added the camera mod ontop of it simply downloaded the patch visible 1st person gear and imperious https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/44765?tab=files&file_id=182149&nmm=1 and all is well
