Any idea why the smoke from the torch would turn orange after installing Pi-Cho ENB? I did ask over there also to see if they had a solution. Thought maybe someone here might also know what settings adjust the smoke color. Thanks for any help.
Yes, it happens day and night. Interior and exterior. Only the torches. I am using Embers XD also with the Smoking Torches patch and have Ember XD loading after Smoking Torches.
I've been testing a few ENBs and finally settled on the look of Pi-Cho but that is the only ENB that has had this problem.
Thanks, Embers XD improves the torch smoke lighting compared to Smoking Torches so that makes sense. Try adjusting the various influence parameters (like PointLightingInfluenceInteriorDay and so on) in the [PARTICLE] category, just make sure to do it in the weather window or first set IgnoreWeatherSystem to true.
Ok I messed around with a bunch of the settings. What seems to have gotten it to work was jacking the AmbientInfluence way up for interiors and a bit for exterior. I also had to lower the PointLightingInfluence. I adjusted all of those in the main Particles section after setting IgnorWeatherSystem and IgnoreWeatherSysteminterior to true.
I hope those changes don't screw up another part of the game. So far, everything looks good. Thanks for the help.
*edit - So, turning off WeatherSystem made the smoke from other sources go away. I went into the weather settings of particles and played with the numbers there. I think I have most of the smoke back. I noticed that camp fires have 2 streams of smoke going in two different directions though. My smoke doesn't seem as "smooth" as your screenshots though. My smoke seems to puff puff puff and have, sometimes major, gaps between each puff.
Could reupload this to Xbox? It seams Bethesda took it down for some reason. I know that it's already on there included in some bundle. But I'm down to the wire on space currently and literally can't afford to use 48mb. This is only 2mb, which I can totally spare. You will be credited of course.
I just ported it. I'm gonna make sure it's actually working. Because you know how the creation kit likes to throw a monkey wrench into everything. After that I'll publish it.
Hello, I'm having a sort of weird issue with smoke coming from the player and torch at the same time. Any help would be great Thanks. Doesn't always happen though.
I found a post below, that help me figure this out. Thanks anyways for this great mod.
Hi Mindflux its Pauly, don't know if you remember me, you granted me permission a while back to use aspens ablaze in tree bundles I upload to bethesda.net, well I have another request for you if that's ok, may I include your smoking torches and candles in lighting bundles I upload to bethesda.net and nexus please ?

If you have major gaps between the smoke puffs then it sounds like you would need to increase the iMaxDesired value.
Are you using any other particle heavy mods like Mists of Tamriel?
Do you have double smoke for all campfires or just some? Smoking Torches doesn't affect those, though.
I am not sure if that is normal.

In this pic, it is much lower than that, just couldnt get the right screenshot.
But my idea was that it's the rag on the torch end that's smoking, not really the fire itself.
Aren't the torches smoking quite a lot already (when not using the subtle option)?
You can of course have my permission for a port, and I added a note about that to the permissions section.
Thanks for your effort!
