So I'm having some trouble actually getting the mod to work. I put the files into the data folder and put the zip into vortex. I'm not sure if that actually put it in the load order but it isn't showing up.
Seriously, just for RP purposes, this needs expansion into a full set of kitchen/cooking tools usable as weapons! No kidding, I am already starting to plan some sort of kitchen servant play-through for this idea.
Times like this make me deeply wish I knew how to mod.
omg YES! I RP as a Khajiit that ended up as a warrior from getting so good at throwing frying pans at people that she can KO people with them! now I just need a mod that makes these pans act like a boomerang!
The first time i was asked to cook i was working for the dark brotherhood. They called me at the blue palace, i had to prepare the Emperor's meal of the day, it was the perfect occasion to poison the most influential man in Tamriel. Then, i met Gianna, a lovelly imperial with a passion for tasty dishes. We cooked together and time flew by. Each ingidient, even the most "exotic" ones, made sense, we were a great couple. When we finished, in my hearth i knew i had to poison the Potage but my heart told otherwise. We served the meal and, while the Emperor was still eating, i fled form the castel before they discovered my real intents there. While running away from Solitute, the Writ of Passage in my pocket and the Potage le Magnifique in my heart, i knew i was not going to be another assassin, i knew that my whole life led me to that moment of epiphany. From Helgen to Falkreth to Solitude. It was meant to be. I had to be the Gourmet, the real Gourmet! Now i roam the lands of Skyrim, a frying pan by my side, fork and knife ready, to discover new recipies, new dishes. From Dwemer ruins to old Nord Catacombs, i'm on a quest to discover the aincinet coocking secret of this land and nor Dragon nor Undead can scare me, because none can stand before the Gourmet and his loyal Frying Pan.
LOL This had me laughing as I kept thinking of Tangled with Rapunzel and Flynn every time I swing it. Whoever said it isn't lore friendly just needs to look around. I find it very lore-friendly since we always find cooking utensils in-game. No pan like it of course, but it stands to reason they WOULD have one since they also have pots. The fact that you can USE a frying pan as a weapon is pure gold! However, I agree with one comment in here on making them purely maces/warhammers in terms of damage-dealing as they can't slice and dice unless you tweak a few of the designs to actually have sharp edges and create a Frying Pan Battleaxe of Doom.I'm just surprised that nobody else thought of this and make more "everyday" weapons. I can easily imagine some of the folks in Skyrim arm themselves with meat cleavers, etc. You can always see tavern people carry weapons; yet there are still pointy things like knives and forks that can be found on every table but you can't even pick them up and use them for anything other than decor and dead weight.
I find the weapon choices a little odd. The options are Greatsword, Dagger, Mace, and Staff. Personally I'd use Warhammer, Battleaxe, Mace, and Staff.
Stabbing it through your enemies just feels wrong, it doesn't make sense. Slamming it right into someone's face or breaking their leg with it makes a lot more sense. The staves are very nice though.
I thought dagger due to the handle. However, I agree with the Greatsword -> Warhammer. Although, I laughed the first time I shoved a frying pan through a marauder.

It's not really lore friendly though, but it is very fun.
