without RBT, but used with EasyNPC. Selected your version of Delvin. It's definetly some sort of mod conflict I reckon but I have no idea what. Checked in xEdit what conflicts with him but it doesn't look like anything *should*. No other NPCs so far had issues like this one.
@nightmarezone, sorry to bug you about this, but Tonilia, Dirge and Delvin all have purple face in my game. With and without the 2K facetint patch. Nothing in my game is overwriting them, and I unpacked the BSA and dragged all their assets into my conflict resolution patch (which loads last) and the problem persists. Not sure what's going on, since Brynjolf, Vekel, Vex and the rest of the gang all look like they're supposed to. (And I'm not using the RBT patch).
, generally purple heads is their skin diffuse not applying for whatever reason (if it's the facetint their head won't appear and if it's a missing head detail texture their heads are violently pink.) My mods don't touch skin diffuse which makes this curios!
Is Mercer purple too? Or Cynric or Rune? I'll try to find a moment to look at their files today to confirm whether or not its on my end
I had a look just now, and it looks like everything is where it's supposed to be - the files they use are in the BSA and the texture paths in nifskope look correct.
The only two files that might cause this off the top of my head would be either: head diffuse (my mods will use what you have installed already, it doesn't come with head diffuse textures) or face details (eg wrinkles). Possibly missing FaceTint, but perhaps not, I can't remember for sure if it makes the heads blue or if it makes them invisible, but I think the latter.
If you have nifskope, try opening their head meshes in nifskope and checking if the textures appear there (you may have to set the program to find the textures, under settings > resources).
As far as troubleshooting further goes, the first thing to try would be to install this mod as it comes (without any edits) on a blank profile and spawn in the offending NPCs in a new save to see if the problem is still there.
I've taken everything apart and put it back together today, I still didn't find a problem with Tonilia although I did find issues with a couple of others. Anyway, I hope everything is sorted.
Yeah, I also use Rose in the Snow, loaded early. No "specific" Thieves Guild replacers though. I used to Use BB's, but, well.... I liked yours better, heh (no offense BB!).
In any case, when I find some more time, I'll dig in and debug a bit more to see if I can find some more info on this issue, so I'll let ya know what I manage to find (sry, busy with Starfield recently ).
I've very quickly got some examples here. Note that I still have an ENB installed + LUX lighting, so your mileage is going to vary in that regard (sorry was in a hurry)
That said, I can't recommend using vanilla skin to anyone... It does work, sure. And in most cases they look fine, even if they are a bit rugged. But... The vanilla textures are like really bad. Its not even just their resolution being crappy - they're genuinely just not good, and don't match up seamlessly like they should... I urge anyone and everyone to use some sort of skin replacer, even if you have to downscale it to 1k/512k for performance.
Quick question, will your NPC overhauls work with vanilla bodies? I'm doing a separate modlist and was wondering about that, since I have a few foundational mods that are shaped to vanilla (I like to keep bodies consistent.) My own character has a custom race and body, but I would like to keep the armor mods that are vanilla based for my NPCs.
Yes. It will work if you pick "default (vanilla)" in the FOMOD.
The body this option installs technically isn't vanilla, but very, very close, and only when naked, and only affects the NPCs for this mod. It wont affect armors you have installed. When your NPCs are clothed they will have the usual vanilla body shape.
I'm having a problem, i have a load order with around 60 plugins, i have both this mod and the whiterun one along with cathedral npc overhaul as a base. The whiterun mod seems to be working fine but no matter what i the thieves guild one isnt working. I disable cathedral to see if it would work but even then everyone in the thieves guild had floating eyes and teeth
Maybe its too much to ask but, can you make Nocturnal a separate mod or different file since I'm pretty far in my playthrough and is the only NPC not covered for me, I like this one here, cheers.
And one tip tho, if people doesn't like one NPC from an overhaul I should recommend EasyNPC.
1 If Nocturnal isn't covered by anything, load this mod first and let your other NPC mods overwrite it.... problem is solved
2 I'm making and managing a number of mods alone in my spare time for free and have a whole life going on concurrently where I go to school and work and have a family. Comments get occasionally missed, it's never intentional or personal at all. Your comment came while I was essentially away from modding for a whole week. Just write bump if you want me to see it. Being passive-aggressive is totally unnecessary.
I just tried to bring my comment to the top since you were answering everyone else questions and my comment was just sitting all alone in the first page for a month, So I guessed you just ignored me, sorry, I will do
I really didn't see your comment, like I said, I was away fron modding that week and only checking Nexus once every few days on my phone, which is probably how it got buried

I struggle to keep up when they are in the comments.
Thank you kindly ♡

Females are all fine.
