LOL. This is as incredibly hilarious as it is useless. A perfect way to acknowledge the love-hate relationship I have with this fickle b&@*$ of a game. Definitely adding this to my "Touch the Skyrim"-esque load order. Thank you.
It crashes even more often than Oldrim, because most old mods are not even supported in SSE. It crashes because a texture format is no longer supported or a mesh is not optimized etc. It also refuses to launch a lot with all kinds of weird errors, but hey what do we expect from Bugthesda?
The sound is hilarious btw, much better crashes than vanilla.
With 180 plugins , 450 mods in total ( textures, animations etc ) my 80 hour save game only suffered 1 crash and i couldn't reproduce it afterwards so it was propably just the typical random CTD.
If you know how to resolve mod conflicts , organize your load order properly and how to check if a mod is updated then you will have a few to no issues.
I'm actually wondering what utopia the OP is living in that they're not accustomed to having at least the occasional crashes in every software program ever released. Is there actually a mainstream game somewhere that doesn't crash once in awhile? Please someone point out this paragon to me so I can see it for myself!
damanding, seeing as how this mod author (look at his name) has a contingency plan for crashes, I don't think this game (or any game, really) would be crash-free even in that setting.
I have to say; I've crashed far fewer times in sse and 90% of the time, it is corrected by changing load order if you notice what you did at moment of crash. I've had 2 crashes I couldn't fix but also couldn't reproduce. Just for reference; 196 mods - mostly 4k with some 2k and Ultimate ENB with Ultimate settings, 140 or so hours in.
SSE is much more stable; just use only SSE mods and use smart load ordering practice or LOOT and BASH when necessary.
I have almost 450 hours on SSE...don't judge...and I can count the crashes on one hand. I also have a little over 100 plugins plus additional texture replacers.
No problem waiting for SKSSE, but the engine is now a rock in comparison to the original.
Just read this article to understand why SSE can crash more often; even a texture can crash the game: https://afkmods.iguanadons.net/index.php?/topic/4633-skyrim-se-things-to-know-when-converting-standard-mods-to-sse/
Honestly I've had very few crashes at all. 90 hours and I can say I've had less than 5 crashes. This is with 258 esp files installed (some are disabled because I merged them due to reaching the limit). I also use an ENB and Reshade profile and have various texture packs installed. Over 375 mods in fact.
153 hours and 163 esps plus 2k textures, ENB, and Dolomite Weathers and just had my first 2 crashes today which were caused by a just installed house mod that didnt like my game. Uninstalled and all is well now. SSE works like a dream for me. Oldrim crashed every time I played with less mods, lower textures, and no ENB, most I managed to play in one go was about 2 hours. I spent 7 hours straight in SSE earlier this week with no problems whatsoever. Im also running as a necro witch and had 15 raised dead following me around decimating the area, no crashes and no effect on game performance. SSE is definitely much better in my experience
hahahahahahahahaahahahahahhahahahahhhhaaahhh.... *huge lungfull of air* AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHAHAHAHhahaHHAHHAhahahhahahahaha..... oh, oh wow. this made my day. this is amazing.wow. you rock.
NEARLY GAVE ME A DAMN HEARTATTACK WHEN MY GAME CRASHED! IT EVEN BROUGHT OUT SOME GRAY HAIR AND I'M ONLY 32! I LOVE IT!

(Like I always do. my monitor eats darkness and if one were to sit at my desk at night all they would see is the screen, along with my dimly lit Razer green Deathstalker KB and Taipan Mouse).
Possible, but Crash Fixes also uses SetUnhandledExceptionFilter for its own crash handling and I would rather not mess around with that since so many people use that mod.
First of all, let me introduce myself. My nickname is Xn² and I'm a french Mod translator from the "Confrérie des traducteurs" (See index.php and viewtopic.php?f=13&t=3956&start=0 for more informations about us).
I'm sending you this request as I'd like, if you give me your agreement, to translate your mod Loud Crash into French. Once translated, this French version of your Mod will be uploaded on "Site de la Confrérie" for French players pleasure. For sure the "Lisez-moi.txt" (French translation of the "readme.txt" file) will give reference to your original work, I'll only include on it my name as the translator and names of people who'll participate on its translation.
I hope to receive from you a positive answer for this translation.
When you say you can't send me a PM, is the site blocking you for some reason? There were some problems with my account the other day that the moderators had to fix, but if they didn't fix everything that would be good to know so I can get in touch with them.
As for translating and uploading this to another web site, feel free to go ahead and do that if you like. There is nothing to translate other than the description though since this is just a joke mod that plays a loud crashing noise. This mod depends on SSE Plugin Loader though so don't forget to include that as well wherever you upload it to.

Man that really sucks.
I"m waiting for the SKSSE release but if the engine is still broken there is no incentive for me...

That is still just due to incorrect modding. This is user error, and an easy one to correct. SE is objectively more stable than Oldrim.
